Duke's Rib House & Grille — Restaurant in Scott Township

This one's a keeper! Went to use a coupon for $12 off the second entree but the menu is downsized due to the times, so they didn't have the fish dinner I had intended to order. Instead, we decided to forego the coupon and split a full rack of baby back ribs dinner. We were unsure of which bbq sauce we wanted so the server brought us a sample of the 4 choices. They were all good but we really liked the Captain Morgan Sweet. When our meal arrived it was already split up onto 2 platters which was much nicer than an extra plate and having to divvy it up ourselves. The onion rings were nice and crisp with such a sweet onion inside, yummy. The coleslaw was good, too, not dry like I find at a lot of places now, and not runny, delicious. Speaking of delicious, the ribs were scrumptious. I found I liked adding the hot bbq sauce from our samples, so the server brought me more of it. I have been a customer for years. They have very, very good food -- portions are more than reasonable. Prices are still reasonable especially given this environment of inflation. Service was spot on. They are polite and courteous and attentive. Especially -- Amanda who goes to the limit to keep you happy even when they are a little short-handed and slammed busy. Take out orders are timely, accurate and well supplied with what you need. Food was hot to go (just as if you were sitting there when they deliver your meal). Since this is a warm summer, they have a A/C running which makes anyone sitting down for dinner inside cool and comfortable. Restaurant is reasonably clean including the men's room. They are constantly on the go to keep things clean. The TVs they have are excellent and are aplenty for everyone's enjoyment no matter where you are seated in the restaurant. We had a big holiday party planned months in advance with a limited menu to choose from ahead of time. We preordered food before the party was scheduled. Once food was served only half got their order from those who ordered from the actual menu and the rest of the preorders never went in. Staff had no idea that a big party was reserved and they were not staffed to deal with a huge party of close to 40 people. The waitress were overwhelmed and rude.
