Wish's Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Scottdale

I stopped here with a friend for lunch after doing some thrift/antique shopping in the area. This is your typical bar atmosphere with a low key vibe. The service was GREAT, especially for how busy the place was. We both commented on the hustle of the bartender and how she was handing a packed house by herself. The lunch portion of the chicken salad was the perfect size, we both ordered the ranch dressing which was fantastic! The onions and tomatoes were fine diced giving you the perfect bite every time! Having a choice of lettuce was a nice touch and we both opted for the spring mix. I was excited to see boom boom shrimp on the menu and chose to order that as an appetizer. I wasn't impressed as it was just small fried shrimp with boom boom sauce drizzled on the top. After eating several from the top we were left with dry mediocre shrimp. Was busy when I arrived with my 2 year old son. They were actually out of highchair seats but we made do with a booster seat just fine. (Was the day for little ones) The wait staff was friendly and helpful. They seemed confused as to who was waiting on who had 2 separate girls try to take my order but whatever really was glad to have someone wait on me quickly. My only real gripe with the place is it is all same as his pizza shop. The food is pizza shop food. Some exceptions but nothing enough to make it different. Scottdale is too small for all the pizza shops in the area let alone to have the same menu options in 2 separate places well its just silly. Our first time there and we loved it! Said this is going to be our new spot! Having gluten free options was a huge selling point for us! My husband loved the sandwich on gluten free bread.
