I was so excited to try this place...and so disappointed with the overall experience and customer service. On October 3rd I remember that this location opened a few miles away from where we live. I was excited to give this place a try and add it to our order out rotation! I placed a mobile order, upon arriving I waited for 12 minutes in the drive-thru line, past my pickup time to retrieve my order. I should have gotten out of line and walked in but I was blocked between two vehicles so committed. Gal at the window seemed caught off guard when I arrived to report that I was picking up an online order. she came back to the window to report that they were out of horchata and she would find her manager later to void the drink from my receipt, which did happen. Disappointed about my horchata and hungry I grabbed my bags and headed home. By the time I got home and opened my bags I realized that my two kids meals which were supposed to include a side of beans and rice were just a single taco each. When I called inquiring as to if there was a mistake, the staff member who answered my call said she wasn't sure and that she would have to check with the kitchen. She came back and let me know that there was a miscommunication in the kitchen and yes there should have been sides with my children's meals. She told me if I drove all the way back over that she would give me the missing sides. Since everyone was so hungry I found some chips and salsa in my cupboards and gave my kids beans and rice from my meal to compensate. I told her that I already waited in line long enough and that my family was very hungry so we would not be driving back to pick up the items they did not include our meal and I would compensate with items around my house. There was no apology, no credit offered, no coupon, nothing. I paid $14.75 (+sales tax and tip) for two basic kids tacos. I paid $10 (+sales tax and tip) for an adult meal with two tacos with two sides. I did not want to leave negative review. Since I placed the order online I completed a survey associated with my receipt regarding my experience that night, indicating that I would like for somebody to call me back so I could share my experience to avoid it in the future and help others avoid it as well. Almost 5 weeks later and no call back, so I'm leaving a review of my experience. The tacos were good but experience and customer service were very disappointing.

Tried for the first time. Nice little quiet spot. Very clean. Staff is very friendly. Food is OK. For 1 Sonoran hot dog, a carne asada burrito and a bottle of coke I paid $21.06. I was expecting at least GOOD authentic Mexican food for those prices. The hotdog wasn't even in a bun, it looked more like a half of torta bread but it was the highlight of my meal. It's sad but the hotdog was better than the burrito. The burrito comes with rice and beans in the burrito. The beans looked and tasted like canned refried beans. Almost like Frito lay bean dip. If you sell Mexican fast food and you can't make a good carne asada burrito, you're doing it wrong. It was like going to a donut shop where they also make salads and the salads are far superior than the donuts. Worst of all the place was empty and my order took way too long to be called fast food. This place is a chispa not the Fuego the reviews said it was.

We haven't been out for a long, long time. The kids were starving from a long, long day of driving around while Mommy worked and then transferred to Daddy's car. Chispa's was there, calling all of our names. I love Tacos, Rian loves quesadillas, Kamila loves everything. Chispa's is a new local place and the business owners are very nice. The beans were good, the food was fresh and it was fast through the drive through and I fed 4 folks in $20, all receiving a main item, beans, rice and a drink. Great place.

We went here for the first time today. As we walked in, we walked towards the cash register and said hello. This girl with shoulder length dark hair had an attitude on her face and could barely look up to say hello. We should have turned around right then and there. I asked her a couple of questions about the menu as it was my first time there and their menu was a little unclear about something. So I ordered and she gave an attitude the whole time. Not friendly at all. We sat outside for a while. We went inside to see where the food was and it was sitting on the counter. The Mexican girl never bothered to tell us we have to come back in to get. They even asked us for a tip so we gave something to be nice and thinking they were going to be bring our food out. They weren’t busy either. Funny how on their receipt it says “good karma” next to the line for a tip and then they treat you like that. By the way, their food isn’t special. Very expensive. $$$ I wish we hadn’t given this place a chance because my friends and I were disappointed not only in the expensive food but also the lack of service. We won’t be coming back here and won’t recommend this place to anyone. Hope the manager sees this and does something about...

We were very disappointed. The owner is from the Los Olivos/Corral family, so we expected to have a similar experience. We ordered the fish tacos and the carne asada burrito ($1.50 upcharge). The fish was small bits of grilled fish, with no flavor. There was maybe a tablespoon of carne asada in the burro. The flavors were bland, the rice was very mushy. The decor is simple, but the echo and volume of the room is very loud. Parking is scarce and getting out of the parking lot on to Thomas can be a bit tricky, even when it isn't rush hour. The signage color palette makes it difficult to see/read from the street, and even the menu board inside was difficult to read. I had to read it to my elderly father, as they didn't have a paper menu for him to look at. However, they are using Los Olivo's tortillas which is one thing she got right. The mild salsa was indeed no heat, and was basically pureed tomatoes with no other flavors coming through. We may give it another try in the distant future, but for now, we will stick with Los Olivos where we haven't been disappointed...
