What the Actual F, Dickey's? My husband brought me a potato "tangler" tonite. Direct from the location at Thomas...3 minutes from our home. It's stone cold all the way thru and hard as a rock 🪨. It clearly was never hot today as the margarine in the center is not melted at all. I've microwaved it for 2 minutes and it's still frigid inside. What the heck wierd crap is masquerading as cheese, as it's sawdust-textured and won't melt either. Had to dice it up with a carving knife as a fork won't go thru it. I've had to put the whole mess in the toaster oven and hope that 40 minutes will make it edible. Also no bbq sauce and no onion tanglers? I am so angry that I nearly drove there in my bathrobe. Fortunately husband talked me down or you'd be cleaning it up off your floor right now? Haven't been in months as we had a lousey experience last time too. Do you habitually pack garbage for take-out? I'm done. We're never coming back. Edit...it's been in my toaster oven for 30 minutes and is still hard...it's not raw. Just inedible. I give up. It's going in the trash. This used to be one of my favorite meals ever. Now it's...
Read moreThe first time that I tried Dickey's, I was not impressed. For whatever reason, I decided to try it again, 5 years later. I don't know if I ever had a worse idea. And when a guy that owns a Nickleback cd can make that statement, do not take those words lightly. I ordered a pulled pork sandwich. The guy unwraps the pork from plastic, sets it on a scale, and begins picking away at it. As if bbq needs to be exact. He then places the measured pile of meat on the counter, raises his fist, and punches my pork. Twice. He punched the heck out of it. He then forms a snowball sized mound of the meat, and places it on the bun. I was in disbelief. The lady at the counter asked me if I wanted sauce. I asked her what styles of sauce were available. She said "sauce, sauce". I love great BBQ, but it is obvious these people at Dickey's do not. They also do not understand the difference between mashed potatoes and casserole. If you are thinking about going, stop by my place...I have a Nickleback cd...
Read moreOur lunch group has been there many times, but today it was awful and we were turned away. We were waiting in line for about 10 minutes ( there were 4 people ahead of us and service is always pretty slow) and after the first person in our group placed her order, the rest of us were told that we would have to wait while they made 20 sandwiches for a catering order. If you have been to this place, 20 sandwiches will take at least an hour. If we were informed before we stood there for 10 minutes, it wouldn't have been so bad, but at that point the drive and the wait ruined our options for a relaxed lunch. We had to leave and the staff did not care. A customer who came in behind us and was waiting in line muttered an expletive and left as well.
I will NOT be back and we have done many large corporate catering orders with Dickey's; but knowing that these orders may ruin the day for other customers, we will not be placing catering orders to Dickey's...
