Did not feel welcomed here I also felt singled out the entire time.
I came in and they had maybe 2 people in front of me to order and the foot traffic inside had like maybe another two people enjoying food so not really busy. The two ahead of me order and I was called to another register that opened up, I ordered a simple sandwich a bagel with two eggs, bacon and cheese nothing crazy like they had on the menu. The guy behind me ordered a specialty sandwich with crazy combo and the guy gave him a free coffee maybe there friends idk. But after a minute or so past the couple got there food and sat down the person behind me that ordered that specialty sandwich got his food and I’m just waiting around for my food. Some more people come in maybe like another 2-3 more and guess what they got the food ofc. It wasn’t until I had to flag down the worker at the pick up spot (where I was at the whole time) and ask her if mine was gonna be ready soon mind you I was waiting for like 8-10 min nothing major but when you see 5 orders go before you did including orders put in AFTERA you you start to think.
All I was told was that her crew who make the food was “told not to make it” and she ran off after I asked who said that, you can see the convo below photo below that’s all I got lmao. and it made me annoyed. Idk if it was at me or not but by then I’m like shocked like excuse me?
Then she comes back gives me food and tells me it’s ready like damn not even a we’re sorry about that wait or nothing like come on now. So I confront her and ask WHO told you not to make this order specifically and she looked weirded out like she had no answer. Just a “idk it’s busy and we got mixed up” but everyone else that came in before me / after me got there order pretty damn fast and prob accurate too as no one else had a problem.
Also the only uncommon denominator from every one else was that I was brown. Everyone else look like each other and you don’t gotta put two and two together to know what I mean by that.
This exp made me feel alienated and singled out. What a complete shame from the crew working at this place on 8/4/2025 around 8 AM. Highly unprofessional and if you are someone same skin pigment as me I recommend not coming here. They won’t make your food unless you confront...
Read moreI have stopped at this Einstein's Bagel 3 times...well, 4 if you count the time I stopped and came back 30 minutes later because the line was so long and they were obviously understaffed as others were asking about it and the people working said they were still waiting on the manager to get there. After my last visit, I told myself to write a review and I will not go here again. Almost everything was out, even the orange juice which then took 10 minutes for one of the 3 people working to get one glass for someone in front of me. I was able to order fairly quickly and the 2 employees putting the food together were working their butts off but this place needs some serious help as it has been this way every time I have gone there. Not the way someone wants to start their day off. Alternatively, I suggest Ron and the gang at the Einstein's off Greenway and 64th Street. Read moreThis is a very poorly run, poorly managed location. Service at this location is VERY inconsistent. The bagels and lox are top notch. Major plus for offering in-store dining, which many area Einstein/Caribous are not offering rn. But there are a lot of issues. Cleanliness is a problem; the bathroom is usually atrocious, and the employees are indifferent about using gloves and clean hands to touch food, so beware that. Unlike most other public establishments these days, they offer no hand sanitizer, and they take minimal steps to alleviate Covid-19 concerns. They run out of stuff a LOT; on one recent visit they were out of ice, plain bagels and marinara sauce. On another visit they were out of onions and everything bagels.
