In the event this is read, I must proclaim the customer service is the best attribute this location has. That is not to say that the food is lacking, but just that the service exceeded my expectations. The night began with our food runner attempting to carry 9 plates on one arm and one bowl on the other. Needless to say, that did not work out. He lost control midway through his attempt to tell the waiter that he was losing his grip with no reaction in sight by the waiter who was conversing with one of our guests. Mind you, we have 8 people including myself sitting at the table patiently waiting on our food to be delivered, enjoying some cocktails. It was like something out of a movie as I was watching this young man slowly lose control of all the plates he had on one arm and what seemed like slow motion ended in a fairly quick manner as he dropped all of our food. Now, one might think he would pick the food up and bring it back to the kitchen to be disposed of but that is not what he did. No no no! This fine young man picked the food up, put the remnants back on our plates and began dishing them out as if he was David Copperfield doing a magic trick blowing our minds. This mistake was quickly seen by our waiter who then grabbed all of our plates like there was a sale for plates and said "We will be re-platting these meals". Now, I am writing this not because of the young man who dropped our food, but to commend the manager who came over as fast as he heard what had happened and said how very sorry he was for what transpired. They re-issued and comped our entrees, our sides, and even went a step further in buying us all a round of drinks. This gesture was not needed however, it was extremely welcomed. Thank you to all of the staff, even the young man who dropped the food...
Read moreOnce upon a time there was a group of three going out for a nice steak dinner. All three looked forward to a scrumptious meal. They had a booked reservation and were seated immediately. 😁The three looked over the menu, then ordered cocktails. The first cocktail was amazing. The second cocktail was just right. However the third cocktail arrived with a plump, dead, fruit fly floating around in the glass. Taken aback, the three looked at each other, alerted the busy, yet friendly, waiter about the problem. He rushed out a new bug free cocktail. ☺️ The three tried to forget about the incident and shared a small loaf of bread with pumpkin butter. Yummy. After a bit, the three each ordered a glass of red wine. Sadly they were told that the wine was sold out. 😔 However the nice, yet friendly, waiter scurried around the restaurant and found a previously opened bottle and served them right away. 😊 Dinner arrived and looked tantalizing. The first filet mignon was cooked perfectly. The second filet was a bit cold. The third filet was completely raw. They sent it back for further cooking. The returned steak was cooked correctly yet a bit blackened. The three slowly finished their steaks and ordered dessert. The first, second and third desserts were all scrumptious. However as the three each finished their glasses of wine, one noticed something strange in their mouth. The bottom of their wine glass had numerous tiny, medium and large black chunks in it. Possibly an old corked wine? They weren’t sure but felt sickened. The one spit out the contaminated bits, paid their bill, and vowed to never return again. They were somewhat relieved to have part of their meal comped for the numerous incidents. But alas, they will never return. Too many memory scarring incidents...
Read moreWent here for an anniversary dinner, had a reservation and was sat immediately. There was dried food on my menu which was off-putting from the bat. There were only two of us, so I was a little surprised when the hostess didn’t clear the remaining two place settings but figured that must be the job of the waiter at this establishment. Our waiter was very friendly and service was prompt, but he also did not clear the remaining place settings, even after the appetizer came out. We asked if he wouldn’t mind clearing the other plates and glasses and he said absolutely! But then still neglected to pick up 2 plates and two water glasses. Not a big deal, but just really irritating when you are spending hundreds of dollars on a meal and are constantly tipping empty glasses as you move about the table trying to enjoy your meal. We ordered the burrata, which was chewy and rubbery and likely old. Cocktails were good. Ordered two steaks, one of which was severely overcooked and tough. The other one just very average— nothing wrong with it but definitely not worth $60. I’m all for spending a pretty penny on a good meal and quality meat, but this was just not it. Our sides were so average it felt offensive to spend what we did on them. Overall, our bill was nearly $300 for the most average meal of a lifetime. You’re paying fine-dining prices for Outback food quality. The lighting was nice and we appreciated the atmosphere, besides the fact that we were sat next to a TV playing American Dad. Again— Outback, but with a price tag. There are many vastly superior steakhouses in the area that hit the mark for quality and service and provide a true fine-dining experience far more than this...
