I had heard about this place, and decided to try it. My party of four were seated in a room off the main seating area inside. There was another table there as well with party of six.
We ordered drinks, the young lady did not know what a Seven Seven was so one of our party explained and she walked away, after waiting 20 mins and no cocktails with two other wait staff stopping by to see if we had been helped, we finally told one of the guys walking by we ordered drinks and we have yet to get them. About 35 mins after we were seated someone finally brought drinks we ordered and they were about to leave when we told the. We were ready to order. Food order was placed and another 30-40 mins went by and finally our entrees came out. In between ordering and food arriving someone stopped by table and we ordered some bread. The bread was not delivered when entrees were delivered and one person at our table asked again about getting some bread. One person in our group ordered the short rib, steak, chicken & salmon. Every single entree has issues, short ribs were tough that gentleman asked for a knife, steak was cold but all the other items on plate were warm, chicken came out hot but the remainder of items on plate were cold and salmon was cool. About half way through our entrees the bread that had been asked for before we ordered entrees came, with no butter. No one came by to ask how our entrees were, we had to flag someone down for check and then no one came back. One person in our party had surgery on his knee so he & another person in our party left. Two of finally I flagged down a person and they took our payment. This restaurant needs to have trining all the way around, food service, beverage...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis place has been our brunch stop after Sunday hike in McDowell Mountains for years. We used to recommend it and we brought our hiking buddies there. Unfortunately, our recent experience seems to end that tradition. There must be some change in ownership or management, because every item on the revised menu now screams "cost-reduction efforts." There used to be a tooth peak with a slice of salami, cheese, and nice plump olive that came with bloody Mary. Not anymore. Main ingredient of bloody Mary is now ice, with a tooth peak with one sad looking olive and a dry yellowish slice of lime dropped into the glass. No more salmon, crab, or oysters on menu. The brunch menu is now all eggs and lunch mostly consists of burgers or sliders, that are just smaller burgers. Donuts holes that always were nice to keep the kids busy with injecting filling in them, today came absolutely dry and stale. And the worst part was a the service. It took a hostess quite a bit to produce the menu, than she stopped by to take order of the drinks and disappeared. Some times late another waitress appeared to ask if we wanted any drinks. The waitress had a facial expression like she was doing us a personal favor discussing the menu and taking the orders. Sorry, Living Room, we are done with you and will find a different place for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have visited this location three times in the last 3 months because I was in the area for something else. Each time the food was good, but the service was just okay.
You get seated right away, but it can take a while to get your order in, even when they don't seem to be that busy.
The decor is cozy, and they have a nice outside patio although I haven't used it yet because it's always been too cold when I was there.
They had live music during my last two visits, which seemed out of place for a lunch time crowd. He was a good singer and a decent entertainer but his style seemed more appropriate for night time.
At my last visit the espresso machine was broken and I wasn't able to get a latte which is one of my favorite things to have with lunch.
In addition. my sister's french fries were completely cold, but they wouldn't know it because she refused to tell them. That's a pet peeve of mine, how can a restaurant improve if you don't tell them they have a problem?
I'll skip this place next time I'm in the area and try...
