Five stars aren’t enough! Dining at Chef Richard Blais’ new restaurant, Tiki Taka, was an unforgettable experience. The food was absolutely outstanding, a true celebration of flavor, creativity, and quality. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared and full of surprising, delicious elements that made each bite exciting.
We were lucky to be cared for by the incredibly kind and talented Chef Scarlett, who went above and beyond to make our night special. She took time to walk us through the menu, understand our dietary restrictions, and offer personalized recommendations that we would have never considered on our own. Her passion and knowledge were inspiring. She even shared the origins of the spices and the beautiful produce sourced from small family-owned farms. It was a level of hospitality and culinary expertise that you rarely find.
As a longtime fan of Chef Richard Blais from Next Level Chef, Hell’s Kitchen, and MasterChef, it was a total thrill to finally experience his creations in person, and they did not disappoint. Scottsdale is lucky to have this new gem, and we’ll absolutely be back again...
Read moreHaving gone to many tapas restaurants in the US - from low to high tier, this was a huge disappointment considering we were looking forward to this new restaurant with a popular chef that sold us. The portions are extremely small for the price. For example, they serve a crispy rice plate that is $22 and the size is about a 1/4 of an iPhone. This is just not shareable. There were 3 of us and this specific plate is only made for a single person. We ate indoors and the overall atmosphere did not match the price. We had about 7 plates but ended up ordering 2 more after everything was said and done because we were all still hungry. Had a loose diner feel which can be great but felt very stale. In terms of service, there were a lot of employees standing around or walking around but weren't doing anything. It was frustrating to see because it felt as if only our waiter was working while everyone else was standing around talking - including who we believe was...
Read moreFrom walking in the door, the layout is VERY STRANGE! You have to walk to the back of a buffet style restaurant just to get to the odd hostess stand for Tiki Taka? Once seated the atmosphere was mediocre at best, Hyatt really lost me on this entire remodel, very corporate, zero warmth and all of it's character has been stripped away. To the food. . . Again, barely mediocre! Small plates and big prices from Sushi to Spanish which is odd and both missing the mark drastically. Any time I hear "Celebrity Chef Inspired" I get REALLY NERVOUS. I assume they just paid Chef Richard Blais six figures to write down a bunch of obnoxious creations on an idea board and ran with it? I would shocked if Blais has ever eaten this disastrous menu. . . We live down the street and definitely won't return! You can do much better in Scottsdale and Hyatt should be ashamed as well. . . I give...
