Center City Wine Cellar — Restaurant in Scranton

I am not sure if it was the owner or not, but he was very friendly and you could tell he cared about the customers and their experience, but please take fish and chips off the menu, change the fish to a good quality, or at least warn customers that it is not cod! At first I thought they made a mistake and brought me chicken strips. I realized it was "fish", but it was the worst I have ever had. I couldn't even eat it. My parents had it as well. They ate theirs but my dad soon after had to eat again just to get the taste out. My sister had the philly cheese steak and said it was good. Also, the kitchen is small so unless you have a lot of time to kill expect to be there...

When I say.. down home… I mean down home… the staff are inviting… the food is delicious… looking for a lunch or dinner date this is your place… friendly and inviting.. with comforting food … jerk chicken in the steam town mall… OmG believe it .. make sure you stop in … prices are reasonable (after COVID) wine is Pa sourced… and employees are pleasant… owners are on site and make sure you are token care of what more could you ask for...

When we visited the young lady was seated behind the bar talking to a man enjoying a glass of red wine. When asked about a wine tasting, she looked up and said reservations were usually made and proceeded to talk and knit. The bar was empty. Such a shame your young lady was more interested in her knitting. So we walked away. This after we'd visited 3 other vineyards where we had purchased wine....
