Samario’s is a classic. Always good, consistent and plentiful servings.

They serve the classics all the way to NEPA specialty’s. The Zuppa de Mussels and their Veal Milanese are the classics; but they have everything from pizzas to hot hoagies. It’s been a while since I visited, but their location and atmosphere is classic, classy and beautiful.

Good, family food at its finest.

UPDATE: As a disabled American, I depend on delivery most often. Samario’s is one of NEPA’s long time classics every kind of Italian dish; from Southern Italian classics, to rustic Italian right down to their soups which have been one of my go-to’s no matter when. But I had their classic chicken and veg soup; which having digestive problems has always been an easy experience for me. It was delivered tightly in clear film (very much appreciated); but the surprise inside hurt me as much as it bothered me. The photo speaks for itself; I frankly haven’t had a hair that long or that shade on my body for decades and I live solo.

It feels like a Seinfeld episode, but hairnets cost a fraction of a cent each and would have otherwise given you another 5 star review rather than my Friday night treat (when I can afford it), in the trash bin.

I love you guys and you deserve...

I placed an order through door dash. I ordered the strawberry, walnut, and chicken salad and there were 4 tiny bite sized pieces of chicken that came on the salad. They were chewy, pounded super thin, and overcooked. I ordered a bowl of Cappelleti soup that cost $8 and there were 4 cappellettis in the soup and the broth was so salty, it was not edible. I ordered the “peanut butter cup” dessert and it was a piece of chocolate cake with peanut butter icing with a hair in it. If I knew it was peanut butter cup CAKE, I wouldn’t have ordered it because I don’t like cake. Additionally, I ordered the white risotto with broccoli that was just ok. I would have thought I would get a piece of bread with a dinner. I did not. Overall, very dissatisfied with this restaurant and I would never eat from there again. I called the restaurant and asked to speak to the manager. He said “sorry.” Pretty terrible...

The overall ambiance of the place was nice and the waitstaff was pleasant. That was about the only good parts besides the warm rolls with cinnamon butter and their house dressing. They charge high quality prices for low quality food. The seafood bisque was made with imitation seafood and shrimps that were smaller than salad shrimps. The entrees were okay but again were not worth the price. Then we got dessert to go. Upon receiving the bill I realized the pieces of cake were $11 a piece which okay that’s fine because what was shown to us was pretty hefty sized portions. Once home the cakes were average tasting and the portions were much smaller than advertised. Very sad at the quality of food. We normally just go to the Tunkhannock location but they ranted and raved about the dinners at the other location so we gave it a try and unfortunately they did not live up...

Been a customer since I was a child. I remember going for dinner here back when j was about 7 and getting their ravioli. Which to my memory were great. The pizza was always highly rated by me and my family. The dining room was very dimly lit and good atmosphere ( not sure how it is now this was over a decade ago)... Though I'm sure it has improved for the best. We ordered a tray for the first time in probably years. I was a bit disappointed at the bottom being overcooked. Though the sauce and cheese tasted just as good as ever.

I came to this place thinking I would get a good satisfying slice of pizza I knew something was off as soon as I walked in the door. But since I'm from out of town. I wanted pizza 🍕 When I ordered to ask if I wanted round or square, I said square. So I paid almost $8 for pizza and soda and when I get it I get decent sized box.So I think it's nice pizza but It's so small that slice of pizza and it tastes like it was from a microwave Very disappointing will never go there again
