Stirna's Restaurant — Restaurant in Scranton

On October 24, my then fiance now wife chose Stirna's to cater our wedding. I cannot thank the owner Cathy and her entire staff for everything Stirna's was able to accomplish for us on that night.

Months ago, the discussion for caterers began. We made an appointment and met Cathy. Within 5 minutes, we knew we found our caterer. From preliminary planning talks to the final meeting days before the event, the entire process was painless and a relief. Stirna's worked with us on our wedding food and drink desires. Cathy offered some very insightful and helpful advice that in hindsight, was so appreciated.

The professionalism and kindness the entire Stirna's staff showed was visibly apparent. The drinks were very well crafted and cold, while the food was warm and delicious. Stirna's staff was attentive and kind as they made sure our older guests were taken care of and if they needed anything else. The entire night was worry free and allowed us to concentrate on the process of celebrating with our friends and family.

The food....I do not have enough words to properly praise the offerings of Stirna's. Everything from the appetizers (potato pancakes, stromboli, wing bites), strawberry salad, and main course (mashed potatoes, mixed veggies, penne with vodka sauce, roast beef, turkey) were top notch. The quality of food was apparent. This is high quality restaurant food given at an off site venue. Praise from many guests could be heard as everyone happily sampled all the delicious offerings.

I cannot thank Cathy and her staff more. Everything from planning, prep, and serving were well executed and so very much appreciated. What separates Stirna's from other catering companies is apparent and immediately recognizable. Within the first moments of talking to Cathy and her staff, the amount of pride, meticulous planning, time management, and professionalism she exhibits put any of our catering concerns at ease. Our wedding date will forever be remembered as a day of joy, happiness, and celebration. A large part of that had to do with Stirna's and their staff. I went for dinner the night of my graduation in May near closing time with a party of 7, and yet we were all still welcomed in and received amazing service.
