I recently placed an order, only to be told after the fact that the store did not have the items needed for a simple cold cut. That was frustrating enough, but the way the situation was handled made it much worse.
I received a call from an employee on her personal cell phone who was extremely unprofessional and impolite. She told me to “cancel online,” but there was no option to do so. When I called back for clarification, she admitted she had no idea how to help and, when I asked for a manager, simply told me she wasn’t going to argue with me and hung up.
I drove to the store in person, only to find her on FaceTime with her manager, who was equally unhelpful. Instead of assisting me, I was given a “helpline” number that only provided catering information and no actual resolution.
At this point, I’m out $9 for food I never received, with no clear way to resolve the issue, and disappointed at the unprofessionalism from both staff and management. A simple apology, solution, or direction to someone who could actually assist would have gone a long way.
