Really not impressed with this place. I was with one other person and ordered the key lime kolsch, and the wildberry seltzer at the bar from a server (only way to order not through an app). Not only were we not informed there are multiple sizes (because its not listed on your bar paper menu) our 5 percent abv drinks where automatically put in a 12 oz tulip glass and I was charged 8 dollars a piece. I paid 8 dollars for 10-11 ozs of a 5 percent flavored lager and 8 dollars for a 5 percent flavored hard seltzer. I first thought that maybe it was a mistake the first visit to serve me a 12 oz beer that's not over 7 percent without me asking but apparently that's just how this place operates? i'd hate to know the price of an actual pint, i'm hoping I was just charged for a pint and given a 12 oz...fingers crossed because yikes that is ridiculous. I've been to breweries in big cities (putting out far better quality beer) and cheaper for an actual standard 16 oz draft of anything on their menu. I would pay those prices at a small start up brewery but there's no reason a chain should charge that much. I don't think I will be giving this place anymore of my time and or business there's simply no reason to with the prices they are going with. There are much better and cheaper options...
Read moreWent for brunch today and left very disappointed.
Hours say they open at 11 for brunch. We arrived around 1140. The place was not very busy but had a large group and a few smaller tables. You order using QR code, which I actually liked, except half the menu including most of the non alcoholic beverages were sold out.
I tried to order the Cajun sausage gravy and biscuits but at the time we tried to place the order, we got an error message that it was sold out -A very disappointing experience.
My husband ordered the grilled buffalo chicken sandwich with a side salad. Salad came under dressed and the chicken on the sandwich was very tough. I ordered the pickle brined fried chicken sandwich with fries. Fries were tasty. Chicken sandwich was very chewy. It wasn't just a small piece I could cut off, but large portions of the sandwich.
The highlight was by far was the pub pretzel. It was big, beautiful and delicious. The beer cheese dip had a delightful kick. My husband said his beer was good.
I guess I'd say go here for drinks and a big Ole pretzel or other pub appetizer, but skip it for brunch or lunch. It's definitely got good after work drinks vibes rather than a...
Read moreMy experience with Voodoo Scranton was top notch! We held my office Christmas party here in December, and it was only a few weeks after the brewery’s grand opening. The staff was exceptional and very professional. The owners, Kevin and Kelly accommodated 200+ people and offered a variety of amazing food options, some of which were in addition to the items on the menu. Chef Kyle is extremely helpful and very talented! If you haven’t tried it, you need to get their pretzels with beer cheese or beer mustard, pizza, burgers, and shaved brussel sprouts salad. Their food and drinks are second to none! The service is quick and the staff is efficient and friendly. Kelly, the manager, made sure every detail was accounted for. She had the place decorated beautifully and had an awesome Christmas playlist going on all night. I will be back many more times to enjoy their great food and drinks in a really chill atmosphere. Check them out and I guarantee that you will not be disappointed!
