Okay, this was probably the worst experience getting ice cream i’ve had. I took my parents last night to get ice cream and immediately upon walking into the shop and hearing a million machines, other patrons practically yelling over top loud music and louder workers, it almost sent me into a panic attack. The environment is pretty small, so it was pretty overstimulating. Then, the ice cream. I ended up having to repeat my order to the guy serving us multiple times (maybe like 5-6? to the point it got annoying tho) because he actively wasn’t listening, as well as running around talking to other patrons sitting down. There were like 10 people it seemed behind the bar, surely one person can be dedicated to orders and can listen? My father got the peanut butter sundae and quite a bit of the sundae was on his hands due to the lack of organization and standard of preparing the ice cream. Very haphazard. They continued to stall even more by making more waffle cones, but we would’ve been fine with just a cup had we known it would’ve been an additional 15 minutes. I got the banana pudding ice cream and topped it with caramel, since I assumed it’d be a pretty safe bet. I was wrong. Heavily wrong. It straight up wasn’t banana, it was just a crunchy vanilla. IDK how you can mess up banana that bad but it was horrible. Also, it tasted somewhat freezer burnt.
LSS, the prices aren’t worth the product and what you gotta deal with at this place. Make the drive to Hopkins and the Frozen Farmer or stick with DQ. This place is NOT worth what my family and I had to deal...
Read more(Opening weekend) Watched multiple employees wipe their face/sweat while wearing gloves and not changing them. Then directly touch customers orders and put their hands in the bins to scoop ice cream. The building was very warm, but hygiene is important in the food business. After seeing it 3 separate times by separate employees, I walked out without ordering.
EDIT 05/22/2023: I went to try this business again today. Around 7ish. Two employees working.
The young man employee told a young child that she was making his job hard because she asked for the advertised Cookie Monster Milkshake.
The young woman employee was very friendly and engaged in conversation. She also thanked me for visiting. I got the Peanutbutter Dragonfruit bowl. It was very good. My only recommendation for the dish is to not have frozen berries used OR have them de thawed slightly so you can bite into them.
Each employee was constantly changing their gloves when rotating stations and in between each customer. A fantastic improvement from my first encounter.
If I had the young man serve me, I wouldn’t return as it appeared that he didn’t appreciate his job. The female employee won me over and I WILL return because she provided great customer service. I only wish I thought to ask her name. I’ll change my review from a 1 star...
Read moreSo we tried the new ice cream place intown out. When we arrived, the place was busy. Which is understandable being the new ice cream shop in town. We stood in line a good 5-10mins before placing our order. 1.) The esthetics of the place is cute 4.5/5 2.) The store was clean. 5/5 3.)The prices 3/5 4.)Timely manner 2.5/5 (my son ordered a waffle cone w/1 scoop of ice cream) it took them 10 mins to make the cone itself. The rest of my family got bowls 1 scoop. We had our ice cream almost done before he even got his ice cream. I had to tell them again we were still waiting for a cone. 5.) Employee interaction 3/5 No greeting when walking inside The girl who took our order was friendly. When checking out, the young girl at the register seems annoyed to be there. While waiting for the cone, she was complaining how there were so many ppl here and she wanted to leave and that people need to stop coming in because they closed in 15 mins. I mean the audacity of paying customers. 😒 6.) The ice cream itself was good. 4.5/5 7.) Music was very loud. I had to raise my voice so my husband could hear me.
Would I go back vs the other ice cream place in town. Probably not. I'll drive a...
