I came into the coffee shop (located at 148 Main St, Seal Beach, CA 90740) around 10:30am on Saturday June 4th and ordered a decaf ice coffee with almond milk and one pump of sugar free vanilla.
The girl at the register informed me that they didn't have ice decaf. I asked if she could just pour the hot over ice and she said yes as long as I was ok with it being a little watery I said not a problem.
I over heard the guy making my coffee tell her (but never bothered to say anything to me) that he couldn't make decaf ice coffee even though the girl/cashier told him i was ok with just pouring it over ice. He then made my coffee with regular coffee not decaf and preceded to add FIVE pumps of SF Vanilla and didn't add almond milk.
When he gave me my coffee I nicely asked him how many pumps he used and he said 5, I told him I asked for 1 he said "well I've already put it in there and I can't remake it" so I asked for my money back.
At the register the girl once again was very nice and I asked for the manager who happened to be standing right there, I explained the situation (even though he saw and heard me the whole thing) has I was explaining the guy who made my coffee begins to talk over me raising his voice at me (with a coffee shop full of customers) the manager lets him continue to talk to me that way and never asked him to stop or apologize for my experience.
I told him if the drink couldn't be made he could of just said something to me and I would of ordered somwthing else, not make my drink completely wrong.
Decaf or not I asked for 1 pump NOT 5, I asked for almond milk (he didn't put any milk) and I asked for DECAF not regular.
I asked to have my drink made that way because I am clearly pregnant, had I not noticed and drank that coffee not only could me/my baby have been in danger but your shop could of been in a lot of trouble.
Some people order drinks, food, etc a certain way for a reason and it's not up to you to make it how...
Read moreI am not sure what happened to customer service at this location. I was appalled with the service tonight. I was there with ten friends. We arrived about 9:30pm and ordered coffees, teas and bottled waters. We also tipped generously. We gathered some chairs and a small table to enjoy our drinks. At about 9:35pm, one of the employees started bringing in the outdoor chairs and tables from the outside patio next to where we were seated inside. She placed them very close to where we were seated almost closing in on us as if we were in her way. At 9:50pm, she informed us that the store was closing at 10pm. Promptly at 10pm, we put some of the chairs away to their original location, then she asked us to also put away the table. First off, we did not have to put ANY chairs away - we do not work there. Then, she tells us to put the table away too, which we did, but we were shocked that she expected us to help put the store back in order and furniture in original position. I told the two female workers that it is inappropriate and disrespectful to tell customers to put furniture away and I would be writing a google review about our experience here tonight. If you have employees that have a sense of entitlement and horrible customer service, it will be a detriment to your business. I hope they learned from this experience today. Truly disrespectful and no consideration for customers who help bring...
Read moreThis has been one of my go to coffee spot for about a year now. I ride twice a week from Newport Beach to Seal Beach. While stopping in to get my usual coffee, I also ordered a gluten free pastry. I went to grab my coffee and noticed there was a hair on my coffee cup. I told the batista (red hair with pig tails) who made the coffe, and her response was "what do you want me to do about it?" I was a caught off guard by the attitude and response. I asked her at least get me another lid. She didn't say anything and pointed to a spot on the counter that had extra cup lids. I walked out in total disbelief and had to sit down outside to process what just happened. I even thought about it on my ride back home. Yeah, I have to say I don't think I will be coming back here and will definitely no longer bring my cycling crew. At least at Bogarts if they mess up they own it and fix it on the spot. Oh and the pastry was super dry and stale. Couldn't even do the one bite and threw it out. Second time this happened.....
