The high rating of this restaurant has not at all matched my personal experience and I feel inclined to give a low rating to provide a level of honesty others are not.
The first time I attempted to try the restaurant, I ordered takeout and received instructions to arrive in 1 hours time. When I showed up an hour later I waited in line for 10 minutes only to be told my food would not be ready for an hour or more. I ended up canceling my order because an additional hour would’ve been the time my child goes to bed. The owner later called me and apologized, saying somebody called in sick and they were short staffed which is why they were so backed up. I said I understood and would try them again at a later date.
3 months later and I’ve returned to the restaurant to dine in at 5pm. It took 15 minutes for somebody to bring us water but they were not ready to take our order. At the 25 minute mark we went to the counter to ask if we could order and were told they would come to us. At 35 minutes we placed our order. At 65 minutes, we received our tea we had to ask for 3 times, each time they gave a different reason for the tea not arriving yet (the reality is simply that they way too understaffed). At 90 minutes we received 2 of the 5 entrees ordered. At 15 minutes later we received the 5th entree. We ended up going to the counter proactively to pay because we didn’t want to risk waiting around on their clock. While waiting to pay, there were multiple people upset they were waiting so long for their to go orders (which was reminiscent of my first experience).
At this point it is clear they are massively understaffed and it is not a priority for them to fix the problem, given they were facing the same issue 3 months apart. I cannot in good conscience recommend this restaurant unless you are willing to spend twice as long as you would at any other restaurant, with no sincere acknowledgement of the glaring issue.
The food was solid, no complaints there, but the service is the poorest I’ve experienced in years and that makes it for an overwhelmingly...
Read moreCame here on a Saturday night after seeing a FB post from the restaurant. They are a very new and family owned business. The restaurant currently says "home taste" outside, which was the previous business but they might be getting a new sign next week! They have a grand opening sign outside so you can't miss them. Parking lot is very small but there is parking at the business lot next door
The menu has many options and they are currently running a Chinese new year promotion for buy 2 apps get 1 free, which we of course had to get. We ordered the crab cheese Rangoon's, spring rolls, and chicken potstickers. The crab cheese Rangoon's were incredible so fresh and crunchy and the inside was filled with the perfect crab/cream cheese ratio. They gave us extra spring rolls which were big and fresh they had a great filling. My bf loved the potstickers, they use real dough and they are very large and taste fresh.
For entrees we got sesame chicken and combination chow mein. They both came out with a heaping portion and were glistening. The ingredients were fresh and this was probably the best Chinese food I've had in Seattle so far. Next time I want to try the orange chicken!
For the 2 entrees and 3 apps our total was $55 which makes this spot extremely good value. We took home so many leftovers, we were stuffed! The service was great, fast, and they are very kind and attentive. On top of the extra egg rolls they also gave us hot tea.
FYI if you are ordering to go make sure to order rice on the side as the entrees do not have rice included.

Read moreUpdate: 5/1/25 back today ordered our regular beef chow fun my favorite, and the boiled beef with chili sauce still bubbling when it came out hubby loved the beef as well as the boiled fish version of this. Just good amount of spice. Must try if you eating there. We took home the boiled beef use the sauce to add tofu to make another meal for and it’s as good as eating in the restaurant.
This is our go to place when we craving for Chinese comfort foods. Love the family that run this place. They treat you like close friend!! ❤️
We ate here twice already, both times the foods were fresh and tasty. Good Chinese comfort foods, we ordered the dry beef chow fun and a szychuen beef combo for lunch on our first visit, we finished both and loved them so much we came for dinner 2 days later we had spicy fish and Singapore noodle w shrimps both were great too. You can ask for less salt if you prefer, they are very flexible. Lot of returned customers came here so you know they are good and consistently making fresh & tasty foods. I don’t mind eat here everyday if I am near by.
