Cracked my phone screen recently and needed a repair. I went with Techs Repair because of the glowing Google reviews and because they offered a competitive price. I went in on a Saturday and the owner told me they were booked for the day. He offered an appointment for me on Monday (my day off) at noon but said I could drop it off earlier if desired. He wrote down my name and information in his booklet and said it would take 2-3 hours for completion.
I stop by the shop on Monday at 10:30 AM as Google says they open at 10:00 AM. Unfortunately, the shop is closed so I come back again at noon. The owner is not in and the woman behind the desk tells me he won't be back for a few hours but I can drop my phone off if desired. When I drop off my phone she asks for my phone number so they can call me once they are done.
"How is that going to work when you have my phone?", I ask her and write down my e-mail and my phone number, just in case.
When I get home I decide to e-mail them for confirmation and to make sure they have my contact information. I wait until 4:00 pm but still haven't heard from them. When I arrive 20 minutes later, the owner says that they won't be able to finish the repair today and I should come back tomorrow.
I can't come back tomorrow! I work for 10 hours four days a week and I need my phone for my job. The owner offers condolences and says that he was booked up all day and I should have dropped my phone off earlier.
Booked up? I'm the person you booked with! Drop off the phone earlier? I tried to do that but you weren't open. I showed up precisely when you told me to and you weren't there.
Very disappointed as I wasted my day with them when I could have gotten the screen fixed at a proper place for only a few...

I really want to say thank you to the Techs Repair team. They were very honest, professional, and friendly. Read moreI'm giving this two stars because the people that work here are nice and I don't want to discredit kindness in a customer based business. Unfortunately, I brought my laptop in for a simple diagnosis. It ended up having a trackpad (not clicking) issue. No one called after the first two days so I ended up calling to see when it would be ready. I needed this computer for work so ended up calling several times and drove there twice, but alas it still wasn't ready after 8 days. The battery also somehow mysteriously stopped working while they had it. I was told the trackpad could not be fixed, was recommended to purchase another laptop and charged full price for a battery that was previously working. In spite of the friendly staff Im so dissappointed with the experience. A complimentary diagnosis resulted in what they said was an unfixable issue and $77 for a battery that wasn't previously bad in a laptop than I was told to replace.
