a lot of unnecessary confusion, multiple calls, eventual pick up instead of normal delivery of our pizza on the parcel box which has been tge routine since covid started. delivery rules apparently changed as prior the delivery person calls to notify and would leave the pizza. now, if you dont hear your phone ring (easy to happen), tge person wairs for a few minutes (pagliacci words, not mine) and returns to store without leaving the pizza. we wait, call again. informed of situation. i tell the lady we still want the pizza. we are told it will be an hour and a half. fine, we still want the pizza. i call back to say we can pick it up so that will be a 20 minute wait, but it added to the confusion so i tokd her we will wait for the delivery. time lapses. i call again. the man answeing told me it had been cancelled but can call the store manager to see what was happening. i explained the situation to the young man trying to figure out what had happened. however, when i told him the routine we have had for years, his response was 'i dont need to know about the past, im figuring out what happened.' well, that is the crux of what happened. he put in the order to pick up within 20 minutes. when my husband went in to pick up, more confusion that it wasnt ready for another 45 minutes (we had waited half an hour to pick it up). a bit more dialogue and finally he left with the large pepperoni pizza. out this whole thing, i have no idea how and when the delivery changed, the young lady became so confused, and why getting a large pizza was so diificult. ordering from pagliacci has been up and down worsening...
Read moreThis is my first order with this Pizza Place. Trying to do it online is annoying and I dont need another app on my phone so I recommend calling. The Pizza....Sadly not NY style and this coming from a NY Sicilian! NY pizza has almost a chewy crust that allows you to fold the pizza and walk down the street if you so desire. Try it with what I recieved, impossible. I couldn't pick it up without it flopping around and all the toppings falling off. I ordered a Brooklyn Bridge. The topping were fresh though under cooked like the rest of my pizza. I'm writing this as I finish cooking it in my oven. The price for a 13inch delivered with $5 tip and a coke $50. I'm sorry for that price I'm severely underwhelmed! I will say the one bite I did take tasted good but it's not a $50 dollar pizza even on a good day. If you want to experience it buy it buy the slice. Perhaps they spend more time making it and maybe it's a better representation of what they make. They delivery person was excellent and the person who took my order did his job well. Unfortunately I will not order another delivery pizza from them. Those who like undercooked pizza you can eat with a fork...
Read moreFirst time eating in after years of taking out. Service was excellent, server was young woman who was very quick and detailed and friendly.
Ordered a large vegetarian AGOG: which is marinated artichokes, roasted garlic, black olives, feta cheese, cherry tomatoes.
While we waited ordered the large Sicilian salad which has an arugula base with chicken and sun-dried tomatoes and I think they were dried blueberries or currents but something kind of delicious that added a nice berry twist. The salad was absolutely delicious. The vinaigrette was not too heavy and it made for the perfect appetizer. The large size was great for sharing between the two of us but I think it could be shared with one or two more guests as well. Great size to order in.
The pizza came piping hot and what we realized was the toppings were generous which made the very satisfying. They didn't scrimp on the feta so the overall effect was an incredibly delicious and filling Mediterranean type experience. Will order again, exactly...
