Crazy waiting time. They do not appreciate the work and time of couriers. 👎
################### Update 2023-09-30 ###################
Thank you to the representative of "Aroy Mak Thai Food" for your prompt and thoughtful response to my review. I appreciate reading that you care about my comfort during the delivery of your order to the customer. I would like to point out that your box becomes unnecessary clutter in my car, as I transfer all the food items into specialized thermal bags to ensure the food remains as warm as possible, thereby enhancing the quality of delivery to the maximum level.
From your response, I can draw one conclusion: you have no intention of making any changes in the interaction between your staff and courier representatives.
Now, let's address the situation that occurred, and I'm willing to help you, as it seems you've chosen not to take any action. I accepted the order through the UberEats app and drove to your establishment, which took me 10 minutes. I asked your staff member for information about the estimated wait time for the order, and he gave me a clear answer: the order would be ready in 10 minutes. I waited for 10 minutes. I asked your staff member again about the order's status, and he assured me that they were currently packaging it and would hand it over shortly. I waited for an additional 5 minutes. I asked your staff member again for information about the order, but this time, he didn't respond and simply walked away. He just left! After 5 more minutes, your staff member finally brought me the order.
Now, the question is: why did I give you a 1-star rating?
The answer is simple: Your staff member deceived me. Instead of the promised 10-minute wait, I ended up waiting for 20 minutes. Additionally, he ignored my last inquiry about the order.
So, what can be done to improve our interaction and eliminate misunderstandings?
The answer is straightforward: tell the truth! If your staff member had been honest and informed me that the order would take 15-20 minutes, I would have canceled the order and continued to provide high-quality food delivery services without any issues.
I sincerely hope for your professionalism in organizing business processes and that you can instruct your staff on the importance of honesty when dealing with your delivery partners.
Wishing you all the best, as our goal is to make our...
Read moreWow, just WOW. This was our first time ordering from Aroy Mak Thai Food and every dish was incredible: flavorful, beautiful to look at, fresh ingredients, and authentic Thai flavors.
The combo chicken plate was a generous serving of food; it had at least 8oz (maybe even 10oz) of protein and at least 1.5 cups of steamed, aromatic, ginger rice plus thick slices of cucumber and cilantro as a garnish. The fried chicken was crispy. The grilled chicken was succulent. The sauces were chef's kiss.
The stir fried noodles were perfection. Served with steamed cabbage and a handful of cilantro, I could eat these noodles everyday. Simple but oh so delicious.
Chicken wings: We didn't even order these! The gentleman at the restaurant thought he had made a mistake on our order and gave us the wings free of charge. But no mistake was made on his end! Not only was this a generous offer from the restaurant, the chicken wings were incredible: crispy and not overly sauced, perfectly salted.
AND THE MANGO CUP OMG. The mango was sweet, the sticky rice was perfection and the serving size was generous, it can totally be shared between two people and satisfy their sweet tooths.
For us, the cherry on top of this amazing restaurant were the small details that a lot of other restaurants don't do/forget. For example: the ginger rice. Instead of plain white rice, this restaurant is giving us that added flavor and aromatic experience. Another one: the sauces. We had 4 sauces and each of them was unique in their flavor profile and perfectly complimented the dish it came with. Another one: the sticky rice mango cup. There were three different colors of rice: white, green, and purple/blue. They don't have to do this, it could all be plain, white sticky rice BUT THEY DO IT and it makes the dessert beautiful and appetizing to the eye.
Please order from them, give them your business. For the quality and quantity of their food, I believe they could charge more for it. I hope they get so much business that they're able to make a profit and great reputation for themselves in and out of West Seattle! Thank you for an amazing experience,...
Read moreThis place is not to be missed. The best part is that we went on a Saturday night and the place was bustling! Jam-packed with folks waiting for a table up until closing time. That’s how you know it’s good. They did something unique while we waited, took our order so that when a table opened even close to closing they had our food on the table, nice and hot almost the moment we sat down. Unbelievable service! And the food, seemed like most folks got the chicken combos. I am not much of a chicken fan but appreciate the variety in preparation they served. And the sauces were amazing. We ordered Khao Man Kai and Kai Young. The rice served with the dish was bountiful and refined, not overpowering but delicately spiced. The broth with Winter Melon was other-worldly. Most restaurants serve you broth that is okay or near to tasteless, but theirs was flavorful to the max but well-balanced and it got so wonderfully with the tastes across the dishes. Overall their quality was consistently good. Even the presentations were flawless. The tea, for example, Peach Decaf was so nice. And again, the timing was impeccable for getting our dishes and clearing off the table. For dessert we got the combo ice-cream with sticky rice. It was so good, the flavors elevated with a mix of salty, warm, cool and not overly sweet. Quality ingredients including jack fruit, palm seeds, and warm coconut cream. The Tarot icecream was the perfect match because it was a light flavor that blended well with both the pandan and coconut flavored sticky rice. However the mango and Thai tea ice-cream were marvelous and fresh. We were told that the mango sticky rice is the most loved dessert and they sold 3,000+ servings this year and sold out after mango season ended.
Get there at an earlier time if you don’t want the crowds. And if you want the crowds to see the action, it’s absolutely worth the wait. Wish we could show you more photos of our dishes but we were too busy eating to...
