10/10 best place in Seattle for western African dishes, ESPECIALLY the BENACHIN (jollof rice) ohhh myyy gosh the vegetables were cooked to perfection and that lamb was so tender. It fell right off the bone with the seasoning is perfect.I also odered SUPER KANJA (okra soup) & EGUSI soup was to die for!!! Not exaggerating at all!! I tried both wonjo & baobab juice aswell and it was sooooo deliciousssssss!!!!!! I cannot recommend this place enough!! I will be returning for more. oh, and I cannot forget the plantains ABSOLUTELY THE BEST PLANTAINS I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE. and don’t get me started on the service. It was absolutely outstanding. He was very sweet and Informative about each dish!

Delicious 😋 food and the baobab and ginger juices were my favorite! Friendly service willing to explain the menu and provide ample time to eat and talk without rushing you out the door. Clean, comfortable dining room with beautiful art on the walls. It would be good if they offered filtered water in a glass instead of in plastic bottles.

I got peanut butter stew with just vegetables and fish pie! Both had so much flavor. It’s a family run restaurant with food made from love. Parking lot is in the back and lots of room to sit down and eat or you can take it to go. If you are pescatarian there are a few different options.

I had the worst experience at this place, 2nd time visiting as the first time wasn’t bad -I ordered cassava leaves then and it was okay.Today I ordered domada with fufu and when I got home there was only one small piece of meat,a big chunk of carrot and a bone I immediately called the restaurant and the lady told me to go back. She took the food and instead of fixing the situation she refunded the money ,she didn’t ask questions or even try to apologize but went ahead and told me how that was the portion size(with an attitude). I don’t know how anyone would pay 23.99 + taxes for a bone,a small piece of meat and a huge carrot.I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone and they’ve definitely...

Family owned restaurant in Shoreline. The lady who I assume is the owner, is very sweet. I came here a few weeks ago and ordered Jollof rice with lamb and fufu & egusi soup. The Jollof rice was amazing!! 🤤🤤🤤 a little heat to it but nothing overbearing. I feel that the amount of lamb was much too little though. I guess the Jollof rice is the star of the dish (not too mad at it). It was my first time trying egusi and I did not like it. Don’t let that dissuade you though, it’s most likely my tastebuds seeing as I don’t like fish that much & crayfish is in it. I would definitely come back regularly for that Jollof rice if it wasn’t so far from me! Come check out this small...
