Subway — Restaurant in Seattle

Updating with some perspective - I started off this review with 1 star, but in hind-sight, I let the frustrations of my overall situation get the better of me. It's a Subway sandwich shop. I'm still mystified as to why the staff involved couldn't just look at their own menu, but again, at the end of the day: it's a Subway sandwich. So, let this be a lesson to me that sometimes ordering sandwiches will go south but life in general is probably still OK! Let's settle for 3 stars.

Ordered through an ordering service. Now I know not to order named sandwiches, because at this location, they don't know what's in the sandwich. We ordered a Subway Melt (ham, turkey, bacon) with extra cheese and honey mustard. We received a 12" roll with a little shredded cheese sprinkled on it and honey mustard. They didn't know what goes in the sandwich. Unfortunately, I was ordering dinner for someone and our group was in a big rush for an event, so this person ended up dinner-less. The shop couldn't have known that part, of course, but what is normally a pretty easy & standard activity became...

Right as we were trying to pay for our sandwiches, the register apparently crashed and required the guys behind the counter to reboot the computer. Our sandwiches were already finished, and so this turned into us standing at the register waiting for the computer to reboot for about 20 minutes. Rather than offering us some sort of concession, or a discount, or trying to problem solve, we were told it would just be “a few minutes” and then the two guys walked away from the counter while we waited. There were four other customers in the store who had walked in after us, and instead of at least taking their orders, one guy proceeded to sweep the lobby while the other one made bread, both of them telling people that the computer was not working and they couldn’t get food.

At this rate I was over it but I didn’t want to waste two sandwiches over my impatience, so we waited, which I regret now because the idiots...

Bryan & his co worker make stopping here a great choice for lunch. Seriously. His enthusiasm about his job, the quality of effort they both put into serving a fast delicious lunch, & even saying hello to my furry clients is refreshing. If they would rather be elsewhere, you would NEVER know it!

The place is super clean, friendly (in Seattle?!) & guaranteed a smile & a delicious fresh sandwich… EVERY time. (The woman even washed her hands to give me some napkins. Appreciated.)

I’ve been here a handful of times, also came last week, wrote a great review 5 mo ago as well. I don’t spend money on eating out, so I appreciate good service & a great stop when I do & most def tip for it.

It’s a great open space with great lighting, busy but not crowded or loud. If there’s a line, ya never wait too long. Fast, efficient, personable, good. Perfect break spot.
