I've had Ethiopian food before, but this was WAY better!! My mom and I came here and it was DELICIOUS! Everything was so well spiced, both in a spicy and just flavorful way!
Since we are relatively new to ethiopian food, we got some suggestions, and our waitress was super nice about it! We ended up getting the family combo (pictured below) and it was such a good balance of meat and vegetables! It was quite a big portion (that we finished), but it could definitely feed 3-4 depending on how much everyone eats!
I also got a cup of their coffee, and it was also DELICIOUS. It was fresh and nutty, just what I want from coffee. I usually dislike black coffee, but this was just perfect.
I highly recommend this place for anyone wanting to try and get great...
Read moreWe recently dined at Blue Nile Restaurant, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The service was excellent—the staff was attentive, welcoming, and made sure we felt at home throughout our visit.
We ordered the Tibs and Kuanta Firfir, and both dishes were packed with authentic flavor. The Tibs were perfectly seasoned and tender, with just the right amount of spice. The Kuanta Firfir was a standout—rich, bold, and full of that traditional dried meat taste that takes you straight to Ethiopia. The injera was fresh and perfectly tangy, tying the meal together beautifully.
Overall, we left full and satisfied. If you’re looking for authentic Ethiopian food and warm, friendly service, Blue Nile Restaurant is definitely worth a visit....
Read moreI hadn't had Ethiopian food in a number of years since I had left Houston. There always was something coming up that prevented me from coming to Rainier Beach or the wait for food was going to be more than I could bear. Anyway, brought my hubs here on the holiday weekend. He had never had Ethiopian food and I knew it would be something he enjoyed. It was quiet and thankfully not crowded. We had a nice leisurely lunch sharing the huge family combo and getting extra injera (yummm!). He was in love with the spices and the eating by hand. I love ethnic food, it's the only time I ever feel like I could potentially live as a vegetarian because even those dishes are well flavored. The food was delicious and will definitely be...
