I love this place. The bath house is great when it’s open during the season. In 2022, it is one of about 7 beaches in the area to have a lifeguard on duty and the bathhouse open, due to shortages of trained lifeguards. There is usually parking.
Side Note: There is often a police presence at this beach. I’m guessing because of the violence a few years ago, but it also seems odd that they always (the 20 or so tomes that I’ve been) remain at this beach, which is more utilized by the BIPOC community than some other beaches. Read moreA cute little beach with roped-off swimming areas, a diving platform, and lifeguards on duty during the in-season. There’s a bathhouse with toilets and a shower area, they are industrial and not new, but clean and tidy. There’s one picnic table and two benches , otherwise bring a blanket. There is decent bird watching and some ducks that come by to say hello when you near the water’s edge.
Parking lot is decent sized, I’ve seen some drug dealing going on which isn’t great but many just sit in their cars quietly and enjoy the view.
