So we had amazing food the day before but would give no stars if an option for customer service. We are up here for the unexpected death of my brother. I explained our debit card was put on hold last night but only had $27 cash with us that I had just left the funeral home and had not eaten all day. I asked to order off the kids menu so we could be sure to eat something. We had just been there the day before we had told the waitress and were allowed to because my appetite has been next to none... Instead we are told by this waitress she would not allow it and did not understand why we would even come in to eat if we didn't have money. All we wanted was a couple things so we could eat. I asked to talk to the manager on duty and she refused so I could try to explain that we did not know what the total would be with tax because we are here from Oregon and she refused to send the manager to our booth to even ask. I have a job I work and have been at restaurants all the time they give me free meal and not even asking and I will leave the amount of the meal on the table Because I never ask for anything free but this server was horrible after just dealing with final arrangements for my little brother. We will never go here again and I hope no one else encounters the heartlessness of the people that work there. All we wanted and had enough money for was the kids menu.......
Read moreI hadn’t been to Elliot Bay in a few years so I didn’t have the best memory of it.
We came in about an hour hour and a half before close and we were promptly greeted and sat down. Our server came over right away to order drinks and those were out to us in just a couple minutes. I’m not a big drinker so I tried out a couple of their nonalcoholic options and they were actually pretty good their Hop Water was a nice refreshing drink.
We ended up ordering a couple of the pretzels which are definitely an item. I would suggest if you like pretzels they were extremely delicious and the cheese dipping sauce was awesome. The pretzels are huge, but I would still suggest one for each person because they’re just that good.
For dinner, I got the fish and chips and a side Caesar salad. The fish and chips were seasoned so good whatever the batter they use is so much better than other fish and chips that I’ve had around town definitely five star review on that fish and chips. It’s one of their favorites on the menu and there’s a reason for that. I was also really happy with the Caesar salad even though we came there late in the evening the lettuce was super fresh and crunchy and the salad was just really good.
Definitely a good spot to come and grab a drink and bite to eat if you’re down on California in...
Read moreThis is the best brew pub experience you'll have in West Seattle, if not in Seattle overall. The beers are great, with a solid foundation of consistently-available variety and a rotating cast of seasonal and experimental brews. Their food is really good, too. It wasn't always as good, but they're in a sweet spot right now. Great for families, dates, meetings, etc.
Things they can improve? Their TV game is weak. The staff doesn't really curate what's playing, and there aren't a ton of screens. So, you'll have to crane your next to squint at whatever's on, and it might be something weird like an infomercial. Also, especially if you have kids, sit upstairs. Sitting downstairs puts you at risk to the center tables, located in the walkway of the servers and bathroom-goers, and the longer-tenured staff who generally aren't as eager to please as the newer folks.
All in all, this is a nice friendly place that you'll love. It's not any more expensive than anywhere else, and they nail your visit 95%...
