Out of all the apartments I’ve lived in, this one was probably the best—but that’s not saying a lot lol. I lived here around 2 years and moved in the perfect time in early 2021 (mid panny + bridge closure) to get a reasonable rate. Now similar apartments in the same building are ~500$+ a month more. So close to Alki, close to downtown and the water taxi. If the weather was like spring and summer all year here, I would have stayed, but the winters are miserable.
Pros: Overall the main pro here is the location. Even with the bridge closed I could walk to a dr, massage, nail appointment, multiple grocers, grab food, coffee, etc. You will hardly ever need to drive.
Less crime than other Seattle areas we’ve lived. Even with street parking our cars were never broken into or keyed.
The build is high quality. Hardly had issues with garbage disposal, toilet, or anything in the house compared to other places I’ve lived. The only issue was our living room heater which did not seem adequate for the space it was supposed to heat, or the windows were the issue. Never quite figured that out.
Cons: the parking lot has EXTREMELY TIGHT SPACES. So tight each time you park if you have any spot other than on an end cap where you drive straight in, you will need to take a 2-5 point turn to park. We have a compact car and were just skinny enough to fit with enough room to exit. A ton of people have trucks (unsure why needed in the city and that they’re allowed in such a small lot) and larger cars. For visitors there is a very close pay to park lot that we never had troubles with break ins or anything.
If your apt is facing the strip walk by Tallricos it will be loud on the weekend evenings with people drinking and fighting. There is almost always drama on karaoke nights. One of the workers at the burger joint next door also throws Jim beam bottles on top of the dentist office—not sure why with all the dumpsters in sight—multiple times daily which is an eye sore, but gets cleaned off every season or so.
There needs to be one additional maintenance person hired, the one working since we’ve been there is amazing and he has his hands full with the upkeep and requests. Another person at least part time would lift his load and turnaround times for tenets.
Weird cons: the bathroom sinks are square shaped so you have to clean them almost daily or they look disgusting due to not being hit by water every time you use it.
The elevators break down a lot. I’ve been stuck in it a...
Read moreI lived at 4730 from end of April 2022 to 2023. I enjoyed it for the most part. Izzy helped me with my application and Axel answered all of my questions during the initial appointment.
The main reason to why I chose this place over others in the Junction is the safety. Like others have said, the parking lot is secure, everyone knows almost everyone, and almost every door requires access via key fob. Mail was never stolen. I've never felt unsafe living at this building.
The area is super convenient. I walked to the stores (Safeway, Wholefoods, TJ's), out to the bars. There is almost always someone out in the Junction, even through the residential area. Still be aware of your surroundings though, obvi. There's even a dog wash downstairs of the apartment that I loved!
Spencer is quick with maintenance repairs and works hard to get things fixed, too.
A few things worth mentioning: Parking is expensive but worth it in my opinion. Spots are super tight, and you will most likely get frustrated. I was lucky enough to snag an ADA spot with a valid placard.
I would suggest reading through the fine print and every single line, acknowledging the charges that will occur monthly. There was an apparent "discrepancy" regarding the Fetch system they are required to charge you for - whether you use it or not. You will pay for common area electricity and such too.
The elevators constantly smelled like dog urine through out the day. I know the floors are mopped in the morning... but a lot of dogs live here (good thing)! There is a dog run upstairs that owners rarely take care of and let their dogs do their doo, and just leave it for others to clean up. YUCK!
For what it is, I found it worth it for that time in the life. I would live there again if I had to. Definitely check it out if you are looking for a spacious, clean, bright apartment in the Junction area. It is a little expensive, but you are paying for...
Read moreSo happy to be living here! When I did my initial tour of the property both my mom and I laughed because we realized nothing in the area compares. The amenities alone are incredible, the rooftop is beyond gorgeous and they more than accommodate people with dogs here (Rooftop pee pad as well as Doggie wash station), a definite plus! The pet rent and deposit are reasonable as well.  My unit is a little smaller than I'm use to however I did just relocate from a 750 sq ft apartment in LA with literally none of the amenities this place has to offer so I'm more than happy with my cozy place! Finishes are beautiful and although it is smaller, it doesn't feel that way, the layout is perfect! Washer/ Dryer in unit (doesn't exist in LA). The staff here are welcoming and willing to go the extra mile for you regardless of you signing a lease or not. Xavier was more than helpful when it came to my budgetary needs in conjunction with my personal needs for what I was looking for. He was honest and upfront in a genuine and respectful way. I would recommend anyone to come check out this place. It can be hard to admit you have financial restrictions but Xavier made me feel like this was no big deal and worked with me on this.  Another cool thing they do here is hosting events! They hosted a Saturday  morning Starbucks tasting/pairing. I love coffee but didn't expect to learn as much as I did, plus they sent us home with this incredibly cute tasting cup! They even worked with the flower shop across the way for a raffle which I ended up winning! It was beautiful and made my entire place smell good. They also host game nights! Ok, last thing because this is becoming an essay, they are so quick to respond to your service requests. I had submitted a request and by the next day it was done.  Overall, such an incredible experience so far and looking forward to renewing at the end of my least.Such a...
