Please avoid this hotel if you value safety, comfort and cleanliness. Upon arrival, we noticed that our bathroom and refrigerator areas in our room could’ve used some extra attention. Expectations were managed but still, it was obvious. Like many other reviews mention, the walls are very thin, conversations could clearly be heard in neighboring rooms. Parking spaces are limited, and are extremely narrow under the covered areas. Several folks loitering in and around the lots at all hours. To top everything off, (what prompted this review) on the last night of our stay, our car got broken into. The two men went around parking lot and tried several cars until they found ours IN FRONT OF THE LOBBY and smashed in the window and went through everything. Hotel staff tried their best to assist with providing footage of the two men but while engaging in conversation, she casually mentioned that this happens often and that a month ago “someone had been killed out front” as well as other shocking statements that for the sake of her job security I won’t mention here. Nonetheless that was our cue to leave. Avoid if possible.

I am shocked about the way I was treated from the front receptionist when I mentioned our room has not been clean. We arrived to this hotel on Thursday March 27, three days later I told the front receptionist that if this hotel offer housekeeping since our room was not cleaned since our arrival. YEDIRA lady in charge of the front reception told me that the house keeping is only available in the morning, when I told her that our room has not been clean and we have ran out of toilet papers, towels, garbage was full….. YEDIRA MENTIONED THAT IT IS NOT HER PROBLEM AND SHE CAN MAKE A NOTE TO ADDRESS THE ISSUE LATER!!! This lady has no concept of customer service or how to solve a problem. ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE Surprised that such company would hire such an unprofessional person to operate and be the face of there establishment

Furniture was damaged, old, broken and worn out. The hallways smelled like marijuana, the elevator had water or something else leaking from the ceiling of the elevator car, and there were hookers walking up and down the block that the hotel was on turning tricks. The internet connection was good 50% of the time so it wasn't easy to work there for my job during the day. I had not stayed in this part of Seattle before and had no idea how run down this neighborhood was. I will never ever stay at this hotel again, let alone in North Seattle! I'm just shocked, as I choose Comfort Inn & Suites for every business trip I go on in several western US states because I know what to expect. This one threw me through a loop. Do not stay here. Spend a little more money and stay downtown Seattle. I wish I did. Yikes!

Aweful stay - will never return! We checked into our hotel a few days ago. We felt somewhat unsure about the location and noticed questionable people loitering around the underground parkade. There was no sign of security around the building. Despite the expectations that this is a non smoking hotel, the hallways reaked of cigarette smoke. About 2:30 at night we woke up to a screetching loud smoke alarm in our room. Startled and not sure what this meant we opened the window, we turned of the vent unit in our room while checking everyhing everything else. Nothing helped. The smoke alarm kept going on/off intermittently. We tried to call reception, only to find out that the phone in our room wasn't even working. We went downstairs and noticed that other people were also up and awake because they also had smoke alarm sounds. We asked the receptionist (she looked very confused and wasn't able to speak English well enough) what was happening. All she said was "I don't know". She had nothing more to offer. Guests milled around looking confused and not sure where to go or what to make of it. Another person was seen walking back and forth, we assumed she was another staff member of the hotel. She looked frustrated and agitated, slamming doors and did not engage with any of the hotel guests. Despite the questions we did not get a clear answer and the smoke alarms kept on going. We decided to pack up quicky and leave the hotel. Checked out at around 3:40 am. We asked for a partial refund but the receptionist with her broken English only pointed us to speak to the manager later. We called the manager around 2:30 pm. It went to voicemail which was full and we were not able to leave a message. We then called reception back, only to talk to the most rude person on the phone. She did not introduce herself, instead was defensive and told us that the hotel had advised all their guests about the fire alarm and that everybody knew to leave the hotel. She was extremely argumentative and insisted that the smoke alarm was the same as the fire alarm. When I asked why there were no instructions, no police and no fire department onsite she had nothing further to say and continued arguing that the guests were informed and knew what should be done. Eventually she cut me off and hung up on me. This hotel does not feel safe and we will never ever step foot in it again! Customer service is as poor as it will ever get. ZERO stars for this...

My husband and I checked in very late (about 1am) due to our flight being late. We had informed the front desk that we were traveling with and ESA kitty and were happy to pay any additional fees to have kitty stay with us. The lady said that since it was an emotional support animal she would wave any fees and that they were happy to have kitty stay with us. About 8:30 in the morning, the manager of the hotel was at the front desk as my husband was eating breakfast while I was still in the room. The manager had called our room asking if we had a kitty and I said yes and we had discussed this with the front desk lady when we checked in. She said we don’t allow kitties period and the cat would have to go. I then told her I would come down with my husband to discuss the matter. When we came down she showed us a book of hotel policies stating they do not allow kitties period even if they are service kitties. Not wanting to argue with her I told her that we would leave and check out immediately (we had booked for 3 nights). When we turned in our room keys she asked if we would like a receipt, I said yes. To which the manager said that her system was down and that she would email our receipt later. Nearly 12 hours later we still had not received a receipt and we checked our bank account and found that the final changes for all three nights including and expensive pet fee, we were told would be waved, was charged. So then we called the hotel back and asked about our receipt to which we found that the manager had never checked us out and that the room was still in their system as occupied by us. We had to argue our case over the phone of, no we handed room keys over and left twelve hours ago, you cannot charge us for rooms that we are not using. They apologized and stated they would finalize for just the one night and we would get a receipt for the stay shortly. We still have not got this receipt and we were charged nearly 700 for everything. Just save yourself some time and anguish and go...

We picked this hotel because it was a Comfort Inn and because it was described on the website as being near the space needle. It isn't. It is about 7.6 miles away from downtown, which I don't think can accurately be described as "near." The hotel description should say a short drive at the very least.

Additionally, there was no hot breakfast or hot tub as advertised. The food was curtailed due to a license issue, so I'm sure this will be available in time. The hot tub was filled with lamps for storage, so I am guessing this is to be removed for the fitness room expansion. Fitness room has very limited equipment at this time. If the hot tub is to be removed, it should be removed as an amenity from the website.

The new furniture and linens were very good and comfortable. The room itself was good except the air conditioner only worked sporadically. It would work for a couple hours then stop for awhile. The room temperature was up and down all night because of this. The first time we called about it the front desk seemed unconcerned and we cancelled the service call because the air started to work. We didn't report the a/c issue again until the morning and the woman at the front desk seemed very attentive to the issue. Hopefully that was remedied.

Finally parking is very limited and even my small subcompact car could barely fit into a spot. Fortunately we returned early that evening and found a space to squeeze into.

If you don't mind the driving distance from downtown for a price similar to several downtown hotels, this place is fine. The rooms are clean and comfortable (mostly) but under the current conditions and due to the distance from downtown, I cannot...
