This is a short story and a review…
So, years and years ago the company I worked for sent me out to Seattle for a months long stay. I worked just down the street from this quaint restaurant. My coworkers always ate at these other popularized eateries but I always came here and it’s not just because the food is delicious. After my almost everyday visit for lunch, the woman who always took my order started to get the idea. So, naturally the woman shared her and her husbands life stories related to opening up their restaurant with me and I shared where I was from, about my family back home, and how I’m only here for a short time for work. It was such a pleasant but short relationship as I was leaving so soon. I really loved this place- the lovely older couple and the amazing food melted my heart. When it came to my last days there I had promised her that I’d be back and that I’d bring my family too. But, I made sure she knew I meant it because I really did. I was just a young woman back then, maybe 21. With respect, I’m sure she doubted me.
April 2022 Sure enough, I brought my husband and my son on a little over a week adventure through Olympic National Park to Seattle. On our last day, just before we would board our plane back to San Diego- once again, I’d visit this quaint restaurant but this time with my family- like I had promised. I ordered the cannelloni with the lemon soup, I think it’s called avgolemono. Both were my favorite way back when and it’s my favorite to this day. While we waited for our food, I grew impatient to tell her who I was. I knew it had been many many years since I’d been there and I’m sure she had seen many faces since then. After eating I finally told the woman of my history with her and this restaurant. She said there was something about me, something familiar and that was enough for me.
After that her and her husband sat with us, telling us their story. They even brought out the lollipops, which use to be for grabs in a small basket at the register but I'm sure with concerns over COVID, they had stored them away. It’s the little things that make us smile. Not to mention, there’s something beautiful that comes from a couple telling their story together. It was humbling and so kind of them to share their life with us. I could have sat there forever, listening to them talk. It may seem ridiculous to some but this moment, my family and I sharing this time together with this lovely older couple was really special. When it came to saying goodbye, I didn’t want too but again, we did have a plane to catch. So, we left. I teared up walking back to the car. Would I ever see them again? Honestly, probably not but that doesn’t mean I can’t share this story with you and maybe you’ll go see them. It would make me happy to know that this story didn’t end here and that it carry’s on through others. What can I say? I’m a hopeless romantic…
Look, I don’t know who sparked the conversation all those years ago but I am so thankful we shared these moments together and I hope it encourages you to try the food, maybe even strike up a conversation with the owners because this is life- enjoying ourselves,...

Please don't pass up this chance to enjoy the best kept GEM ✨in the Seattle Roosevelt Udistrict area. The helpings are huge, the lemon grilled, (secret herb) 🍗 breast cooked to perfection! So moist! All the specials are AMAZING. The pizza is a huge amongst students.
But if you haven't tried her you sit down menu, you are MISSING OUT!
Dinners come w a beautiful Greek salad creamy feta dressing, or homemade soup,a huge basket of the most delectible dripping w 🧈, garlic 🍞, piping hot, fresh out if the oven. The moussaka, spanikopita, everything is SO DELICIOUS 😋.
I ask for the lemon potatoes ,(nothing taste as good as real GREEK LEMONY potatoes) in stead of the pasta w feta. But ANYTHING you order you will LOVE 💕💕. It's addictive and I just moved back to Seattle and so 😊 Ireni, her family and The Olympic Pizza and Pasta are still here. I'll be there all the time now that I'm back.
Please support and keep these Jewels of family restaurants in business by showing up and honoring them. Or we'll lose them like w did the Lake Union Pizza that closed it's doors after over 50yrs in business. Please support our AMAZING CHEFS and restaureurs of Seattle. We have some of the best. We can't lose this uniqueness to our wonderful city!

I'm still dreaming about the incredible pizza I devoured at Olympic pizza and pasta! This hidden gem has won my heart and taste buds. The moment I walked in, the aroma of freshly baked crust and melting cheese drew me in.
The menu boasts an impressive variety of creative and classic options, but I opted for the "Meat Lover's Delight." Oh, what a treat! The crust was crispy and golden, topped with a generous helping of savory meats and a sprinkle of parmesan. Each bite was a flavor explosion that left me craving more.
The service was friendly and attentive, with a team that clearly takes pride in their craft. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, perfect for a night out with friends or a family dinner.
In short, Olympic pizza and pasta serves up some of the best pizza I've ever had the pleasure of enjoying. If you're a pizza lover like me, do yourself a favor and get here ASAP!
