Update 10/21 2020 This is a good place to get nice looking dip powder done, but it's not the place to go if u want to be treated gently. I walked away today with pretty nails but 5 or so 2-3mm cuts right on the crease of my cuticle by my nail. And they are still hurting and makes my life very inconvenient. Let me explain the whole process. When my nail lady put on the nail extensions for me, some glue gets under my nail, which is completely normal, and proceed to stick my nail to the skin under which is thin and soft. When she tries to separate my skin from the nail, instead of pulling them gently apart, she proceed to digging her nail into the part that stick together and basically ripped my cuticle open with her nail, resulting in several tiny gashes under the edge of my nail on the middle finger of my left hand and the thumb and fourth finger of my right hand. She also handled the filing pen thing somewhat carelessly and scraped skin off the middle finger of my left hand, and later did the same thing to the thumb on my right hand. As we all might know, the skin on our finger is somewhat thick and while I wasn't bleeding, the scraps hurted quite a bit to the point I was sweating a lil bit. The way she reacted was also not very helpful, she did not offer me to go wash my hands or perhaps offer a alcohol pad to at least clean the wounds at all. It's 2am right now and I'm still somewhat in pain and I have to say I'm very disappointed in this experience because I think highly of these ladies. Right now everytime I touch water my cuts hurt and it is extremely inconvenient. I can't put bandages over them because they are literally under my nails and everytime I put pressure on my finger my nail edge digs into the cuts. I'm honestly trying to be as forgiving as possible but I am a student that needs to work from laptop and phone 24/7 and the cuts are giving me a lot of trouble. Fingers especially cuticles are also a very sensitive spot to me. I still decided to pay and leave a tip (which I honestly regret because I am suffering so much rn). But I will definitely consider finding a...

After 7 years of receiving nail service from different places in Seattle, this is hands down the best experience I've ever had.

The whole experience:

My friend and I walked in at 2:30pm to a full salon and they warmly greeted us letting us know it would be an hour wait. I would advise getting an appointment but we were just hanging out anyway so we were happy.

After waiting a bit at Wayward Coffee we walked back and were instructed to pick a color and waited about another 15 minutes for the workstations to be cleaned.

While I was waiting a technician wrapped my nails to soak in acetone since I already had existing shellac which was amazing because it meant I didn't have to wait the ten minutes while in the chair (very efficient)

When I sat in the chair, I was offered water or tea (new to me) and after she was done shaping, cuticle cutting and buffing she gave me time to look it over before she started painting (something I have never been asked before).

During my appointment a man walked in and sat down-- saying he was "here to watch". I was SO impressed by how the staff handled this. At first they treated him with the same courtesy as every customer and when he stated he was there to look at feet, they assertively asked him to leave multiple times before escalating to call the police. He left and everyone carried on like before with their same friendliness.

After my nails were done and set with the UV light, I was treated to a massage and parafin soak.

All for $33!! The service from beginning to end was 45 minutes. I plan to come back...

I made an appointment for 2pm - call ahead and let the owner know I am running a few minute behind, arrived at 2:03 didn’t get sat until 2:20 - the lady who started filing my nails sat there for 10 minutes filing them down to nothing by this time it’s literally 2:33pm and then proceeded to leave me her client to go remove someone else’s nails, IN THE MIDDLE OF MY APPOINTMENT. She also told me I couldn’t be on my phone when two other customers in there were, and how am I supposed to show her what I WANT for my nails. How in the world is this covid safe? Touching one client to the next in the middle of both their appointments? I respectfully said I didn’t have time to stay at the appointment and I apologized and said I would pay for the time that I sat, the owner got an attitude with me for saying that. Don’t waste your time here. They might be kind but their work and sanitization is...

I’ve been going to Roosevelt Nails for about 3-4 years now. They did close down recently for renovations and the place looks very nice now. Unfortunately my most recent nail experience was not ideal. As usual the techs were busy but my manicure this time felt very rushed and left me wishing I did not get my nails done. I picked a light color that typically requires an extra coat or two which wasn’t done, my cuticles unfortunately did bleed (which is not common for me), nails weren’t filed evenly, and I did feel pressured to leave a larger than desired tip with the auto 20% and the iPad placed in front of me at my seat with my tech in front of me. I usually love going to get my nails done here so I am hopeful this is a one off, but I do not feel comfortable coming back to get my wedding nails done here sadly. Hoping things improve…

I went in with some friends for an appointment on a Saturday afternoon. The salon was fairly busy and got even busier throughout my manicure and pedicure. The salon was so busy that girls were getting serviced with their manicures in the waiting area and employees were climbing over each other for supplies. What really encouraged me to write this review was being rushed out of the salon before my pedicure was fully dried. I wanted to stay a few more minutes under the fan, but the front specialist told me I was good to go and started packing up the machine and removing my disposable flip flops. As a result, my nail polish was immediately smudged and my $30 was wasted. The staff was otherwise friendly and diligent.
