UPDATE: a few months ago they got a new owner. Unfortunately the quality of the espresso drinks suffered, and became quite inconsistent. Still quite friendly and warm but if I don't like what's in my cup.... Haven't been back in at least a month. I hope they improve, as there are lots of good coffee places nearby but it was nice to have a good one near home. Mabels is farther but I go there now instead.
Excellent espresso drinks and food. I am a barista myself and when in this neighborhood this is my go-to. They bake all the scones and other baked goods right there daily and you can tell, scrumptious. Their sausage and egg on English muffin breakfast sandwich finished on a panini grill should make the fast food restaurant across the parking lot worry.... He was very cagey and reluctant to answer but eventually said yes, he was using the WiFi.
Not sure why the owner behaved this way but I definitely will not...
Read moreThe coffee and service is fine, but honestly, I heard a man in the bathroom shouting for help from across the coffee shop (I was at the small table next to the door and I was near a chatty group of 5 in the corner). After three shouts, I, myself went to help him. Turns out he was in a wheelchair and couldn't maneuver his way out of the room and hold the heavy door at the same time. I helped him with no problem, but in all seriousness, I was the last customer to come in, the barista was on that side, no drinks were being made or anything. There wasnt really a lot of room for reasons as to why the barista just wouldn't respond the...
