I wasnât planning on having a wild night, but my friend Clare had just gotten a massive tattoo on her ribcage and probably wanted to drink away the hours of pain, so we ventured out here and were pleasantly shocked by how amazing the karaoke was. We got absolutely obliterated - probably a poor life choice in retrospect. Clare attempted to call an uber to my apartment, but I convinced her that we didnât need one because I live five blocks away - God only knows how long it took us to walk those five blocks. When we got to my apartment, I tucked clare into bed on my couch, got in bed to watch the office, then woke up an hour later and puked all over my boyfriend. We spend the next few hours doing laundry in the middle of the night. I guess what Iâm trying to say is, know your limits. And definitely check this place out. Lots of character and...
Read moreHad a fun time to start with! The staff were all nice and good service. A guy gave us a seat ven though he didnât have to. My bf got him a drink just to thank him. I was touched by their kind manner to each other. Kindness and gratitude are what I love. Next thing I knew was a group of four guys and one girl. Came sit right next to me when my bf was singing karaoke night without asking if anyone was sitting there. I politely let him know that my bf was sitting there and coming back soon after the song. The guy nodded his head acknowledging. Yet, when Daryl did come back, he and his friends acted as if he didnât exist. We grabbed our stuff and quickly left the bar. I wish the night could have ended better if humans really lived up to level of humanity of respect and trust that we wish we could have hoped from our human...

Also, arrived 2 hours before closing and the DJ refused to accept a karaoke song request from our birthday girl because he said they were booked through the end of the night. The Baranof in Greenwood is better. Everyone gets a song in and they bump folks who have already gone before to make room for newcomers. Oh, and the female DJ at the Baranof doesnât play explicit videos of womenâs bodies as backdrops when someone is trying to sing unlike the chauvinistic DJ tonight at The Waterwheel. Too bad - I really wanted to like the Waterwheel,...
