5/3/25 hanging in the Back Yard, ghost Margaritas and pizza supreme - all good. 12/13 lunch with Mom and cousins. Everyone loved their meals. Our server Emma was great along with the others who helped out. For dessert i got a slice of the orange cake. It was really really good but i had to fend off everyone because there were 4 forks in it ;) 11/26 back for brunch w/mom. Nice & easy, Mom had the chicken and waffles & a side of bacon. She liked it and i had some of the bacon too (good). I got the grouper & grits again, very nice. I also had some of their house made hot sauce, it was more like a 'hot vinegar' (not temp) with cayenne peppers. I have to say, it was really good on the fish and would probably be great on fries. Similar to vinegar on fish n chips if you wanted to kick it up a few notches. [Photo] Was nice to see the friendly faces that work there and my friend W from SS :) 10/28 a wonderful 96th birthday lunch for Mom. Great food as always, Layla our server was great. And hbd to "Dev" too. 7/16 back for brunch with Mom and Linda. I had the grouper on grits, really good! Linda had the Croque Monsieur - she liked it. Good to see Jen & Jen and other familiar faces. 4/22/23 back for lunch w/Mom and friends. Note 2 self- no sauce on crab cakes 4 Mom. I had the grilled chicken sandwich - it was good. Then later on, we returned to have a beer and listen to live music! 10/29/22: back for lunch with Mom, finally got her out of the apartment. She had the crab cake, side salad and fresh fruit. She really enjoyed all the food. I had the street tacos (mkt catch= mahi) blackened. A side salad and potato salad - livin' large y'all- lol. It was really good. Our server, M, she was great, checked on us many times and made sure we were happy. 6/8/21 update: back with my cousin for dinner. We had calamari appetizer- good. I had the Caribbean shrimp - really good. He had the Duck breast and he said it was the best ever. Good beer and great service. Got to say hi to Mina. Upgraded to 5 stars for consistency. 10/30/18 update: back with Mom & friends. I had the pork tacos (photo) really good and plenty of meat in them too. Mom & friends also enjoyed their dishes as well. Service was excellent and super friendly. Had a margarita, it was ok. 8/11/18 update: returned with Mom for dinner. She had the crab cake (really liked it) & I had the Shrimp Caribbean(pic)- really good. Had a glass of the Cava sangria & a house Pino, both good. Thanks again. 2018: What a great spot and friendly staff. Took Mom here for lunch, she liked it. I had a steak sandwich, it was good. The broccoli slaw was good, a little too much dressing for my liking, but still good. Lots of good beer too, looking forward to visiting Mom again and retuning here.

If I could give more stars, I would!!!! My husband and I retired in 2024 and decided to move to Highlands County. Our 32nd anniversary was last week, and we chose Faded Bistro and Beer Garden for our anniversary dinner. Needless to say, Faded Bistro and Beer Garden will be our anniversary dinner location from here on out. We will definitely be back for other meals as well. To begin with, the atmosphere is so welcoming. We loved the rainforest feel as we walked in. The hostess was so polite and sweet when she sat us at our table, that we felt right away that we would enjoy our experience. Our waiter, Davis, came over to take our drink order and tell us about the specials. He was extremely knowledgeable and appeared totally excited about his job. We really enjoyed listening to him and talking with him. We felt like we had been coming to Faded Bistro and Beer Garden for a long time and were regulars. Everything that Davis recommended (and a few things that we chose on our own) was absolutely amazing. We started off with the calamari and one of the specials, the potato balls. We had never had potato balls before, so we didn't know what to expect. WOW!!! They were very tasty. The calamari was the best outside of a Hawaiian restaurant that we had eaten at years ago. For our entrees, my husband went with the Caribbean shrimp, and I chose the catch of the day. The portions were very good for the price. The taste of both dishes blew us away. Everything was so fresh, well seasoned, and melted in your mouth. Not only was the protein utterly delicious, but also the sides were outstanding! Our compliments to the chef. The chef is obviously quite skilled and confident in their work that neither salt nor pepper was on the table, nor was it needed. All during our dinner, both Davis and Michaela from the bar staff were very attentive. Michaela noticed that my husband was wearing an Ohio State hat, and she came to him saying, "OH" to which he replied, "IO." She then began a conversation with us because she is from Ohio. That was so fun. Davis recommended the orange cake for dessert. We don't typically have dessert, but since it was our anniversary, we decided why not. That was so moist and flavorful. It was a huge piece which we shared and still couldn't finish. The ambience was so chill and laid back that we felt like we were on an island experiencing island time and life. Thank you to all at Faded Bistro and Beer Garden!!!? You are truly a gem and have become our favorite local establishment. In fact, we'll see you very soon as a friend is flying in, and we are bringing her there for lunch. Thank you again for a truly remarkable experience!!

We drove an hour to come have what we thought would be a nice dinner. Upon entry we were greeted by the hostess who simply walked by us and said just a minute. We weren't even sure she was a hostess as she looked like she just rolled out of bed with bedhead. She had on a wrinkled t-shirt and not so nice jeans, photo included. When she came back she asked if we had a reservation and we said no but we'd like to sit outside on what looked like a beautiful setting. She told us in her snippy voice that although there were a lot of empty tables, they were all reserved so, she threw us on a high-top table right behind the hostess stand. After several minutes, our waiter came over and he looked like he was homeless with a dirty black stocking cap, dirty long apron, and dirty work boots, photo included. We promptly ordered drinks and an appetizer of Calamari. As you can see by the wine photo I included, the pour was pretty small and not worth the $7. The calamari was way over cooked and very rubbery. Despite our better judgement, we ordered entrees. I got the shrimp and grits and Jeff got the Caribbean shrimp dish, photos included. Surprisingly, the shrimp was cooked well but Jeff could have eaten 2 plates of the food they brought as it was a small portion. By the way, the patio where all the tables were supposedly reserved, never filled up. In fact, a group of 6 showed up without a reservation and were seated immediately. It's a real shame because this restaurant is in desperate need of a good manager and I can see a vision for a much better customer experience.

This place is super awesome. Patio seating was very comfortable for dinner and they have fans running. There is an indoor seating area but not sure why anyone would want to sit inside unless it’s raining. I got the kava sangria which I never had kava. A friend described it like a dirt taste m, which this drink did not taste anything like that. It was great! They also have fun sodas which friends got mixed drinks liquor of choice. Got the nachos with are made with fresh potatoes chips. Calamari was fried great! Not to much breading, and doing sauce was yummy! Next we got the tri tip wrap which is a naan bread. It was very good! Make sure to ask for the secret garlic habanero sauce that chef Ian makes. It’s awesome. Got both Mac and cheese s lobster and spinach and artichoke. Both very good, the lobster has a great amount of lobster taste in every bite. And melted top layer of cheese yum. Spinach and artichoke tasted like a dip with shells . Very good. Jason our server was kind , very knowledgeable of the menu, and personable. look forward to returning if I am ever in the area.

Pleasantly surprised by this little gem. The service was great. Greeted promptly when we walked up, they politely asked if we had reservations and then seated those guests first (as it should be). They found a great little spot for us on the patio. Nice house cab, nothing special but was good. On Wednesday, a selection of apps are only $5. We opted for the spinach Flatbread and truffle fries. Both delicious and the fries were crispy but not overcooked. Ordered the Havana (their take on a Cuban sandwich) and it didn't disappoint. Lots of meat, the pork was a tiny bit dry but otherwise outstanding. Also ordered the Philly and it was very tasty, the cut of steak was juicy and not overcooked. Both sandwiches served with crisps (house made chips). I'm not a big crisps fan but these were good. Peanut butter pie was just the right mix of peanut butter and chocolate. Devine! The waiter, Donovan was outstanding. We had a tiny mixup early on and he made everything perfect. We were undecided on Flatbread vs Truffle fries and he convinced us that we should do both!
