HORRIBLE Drive-Thru experience today (and a bad one the last time) on South Limit Ave in Sedalia. First, they upsize your drink without asking and charge you 20 cents for each. (We let that slide this time.) Then, they handed us our food without drinks, closed the window, and said nothing. After waiting & watching the guy fill the milk cabinet and do other stuff, we honked. He then gave us a Coke, but then we watched him pour a partial cup of black flat soda into another Coke-looking 1/2 cup of soda, and tried to give it to me as my Dr. Pepper. It was grosse - tasted like pure cinnamon flavoring. I gave it back and said, "No. This isnt it. Its TERRIBLE." He took it and closed the window. 2 mins later, I honked again. He opened the window, said "I'm working on it," and told us to pull up while he got my drink. Eight minutes and cold food later, I got out of my car in the rain and went inside as a different young man (a very nice young man) was coming toward the exit with my drink. I took it, tasted it back inside the car-- plain carbonated water flavor this time. I parked --leaving my husband who'd already finished his meal-- and took the drink and my receipt back, asking for the manager. After a short wait, he appeared, and did nothing. He didn't even apologize after I told him what happened. He just kind of shrugged it off and gave me a cup to go get my own drink from the restaurant-side dispenser. I quite firmly told him, "This is ridiculous. C'mon. Do Better! Train your people Better, too!" McDonalds ruined our day for $18.24 ($16.78+tax). For us retirees on a fixed income, we don't need added aggrevation of poor service. We have agreed: we will not be returning to this location as a result. If it weren't for the nice young man (at front register who takes food to you), I wouldnt have even given 1 star. (He deserves 4-5 stars.) 'Can hardly wait for the new Chic-Fil-A...
Read moreI’ve always loved McDonald’s for their fast, kind service but something about the night shift managers or crew rubs me the wrong way as a manager myself. I know what customer service is about, and none of the night shift have that at all. Anytime I try to come in there around 11-12 at night bc of night shifts they have snarky attitudes like they hate their jobs, and I’m sorry but you get paid to be there if you don’t want to be there just quit already because there’s no sense in ruining everyone’s night because you hate being at work. Some older brown haired lady comes up on the speaker and says “will be you be using the mobile app today” in an attitude right off the bat, and when I go to respond she rudely interrupts me before I can even finish saying she can’t hear me even when I was speaking clearly and wasn’t parked far from the speaker etc, so I proceed to order and during my entire order she doesn’t say anything but “ok” with the snarkiest attitude I’ve ever heard, and I know this ladies voice by now because every time I come in when I hear that attitude I want to immediately get out of line. She interrupts me everytime, has the rudest attitude and half the time doesn’t even do my order correctly because she’s in such a rush to get people out of line she doesn’t think about customer service at all in any aspect. I know being in rushes all the time can be stressful, as I work in fast food as well, but in no way should you take it out on customers. Very disappointed in McDonald’s night crew or managers. As a manager myself this is an awful thing to experience and If this continues I may...
Read moreNew employee counter person. Obviously not completely trained. When we got to the counter to place our order, she was picking her fingers. We asked how she was doing today, she replied " I'm tired". When we finally got to place our order she entered an incorrect amount of food. 23 burritos instead of 3. The rest of our order was not correct. A management person came to assist her and corrected her errors. We received our order from a management person. Then I returned to the counter to place an order for oatmeal. The same new counter person took my order. She gave me a choice of either apples or raisins. I told her that they they both come with the oatmeal. I paid for the oatmeal and then observed her trying to make the oatmeal. She got the cup out and said to a management person a short distance away in the room" I don't know how to make oatmeal. All I know is that you add water". The management person assisted her and showed her how to do it. I think this new employee should have been properly trained in all areas before attempting to wait...
