Best burger I've had in years. We came here because they are actually using grass fed beef and quality ingredients which are almost impossible to find these days, and were thrilled that the food was so mouthwateringly good that I can't even write this review without getting hungry! Burger are well portioned but not a huge overly thick meat patty that takes away from all the toppings. My only wish would be that they'd create a house-made veggie patty (not one of those gross processed Impossible/Beyond ones) as I love that option as an alternative when I'm not in the mood for beef, but hey in the meantime, thanks for a burger that has been the best replacement for a classic Stanich's burger (Portland) after they closed but with 10X better quality beef. While the fries didn't light up my life, the husband loved those. Also I also totally dig that the small milkshakes are actually SMALL! You start out going 'huh?' then realize you actually got the perfect amount of ice cream (amen PB& chocolate!) to go with your burger and are glad you didn't get the big one. Why? Because now you have room for their deep fried oreos. Yes you may have to skip lunch to maintain your calories for the day, but this is a hella good meal and maybe my fave place now in Skagit...
Read moreNo question, Skagit Valley Burger is THE best burger in Skagit county, and I'd venture to say the entire state of Washington. I have eaten here at least 25 times in the last 2 years and every time it is reaffirmed - BEST burger I've ever had. I've chatted with the owners on occasion and learned why: they have PASSION for creating the most delicious burgers possible and their dedication shows. The jalapeno bacon ranch burger is really their best burger masterpiece, in my opinion. But, in all honestly, it's not even my favorite menu item, as that honor goes to the waffle cut garlic fries. It is a flavor explosion that will have you scraping the container to gather every last drop of deliciousness. You will think about those fries for DAYS and you'll make up any excuse to get back to Sedro Woolley for another order, ASAP. Do you have to eat outside or in you car? Yes. But I'd eat it sitting in the gravel in the rain if I had to, it would...
Read moreIntrigued at the line up of cars we would often see when we drive by on this road. Whenever we travel it has been our motto to stick to mom & pop spots for places to eat, so on this very hot Sept day we w tried it! The lady at the window was super friendly and courteous, she also ket us know if we weren't planning to drive with the food we could park then sit at the patio tables. The patio tables were neat and clean plus they had umbrellas for some shade too! The owner (mom) stopped by (maybe because i made a face when i thought my sweet potato fries were burnt) and she said if there was anything we weren't happy with that she would accommodate. So i thought i would try a bite of (my favourite staple) sweet potato fries and they were perfect! So yummy! They looked overcooked but "mom" had explained its recipe and encouraged me to try it. She was right, they were delicious!! Absolutely an awesome and quick meal! The whole experience...
