A Hidden Gem with Unmatched Hospitality and Fresh Food
After months of sticking to a strict gym routine and avoiding restaurants due to limited dietary accommodations, I was a bit hesitant to dine out. But my wife really wanted to enjoy a Friday night dinner, and she suggested Hamilton Diner after spotting it during a recent trip through Seekonk. I’m so glad she did.
We were happy to see they’re open until 7:30pm on Fridays — it gave me enough time to finish work, pick her up, and still have a relaxed dinner. Right away, I was impressed by the menu. They serve breakfast all day (huge win!) and have a great variety of lunch and dinner options.
I started with a cup of the chicken orzo soup, which was comforting and flavorful. For my main, I did the build-your-own burger — and was thrilled to see they offer grilled chicken in addition to beef. I got mine with lettuce, tomato, avocado, and pickles — no bun. The chicken was grilled perfectly and everything was fresh and crisp. My wife had the chicken parm, which came with two large cutlets and a generous portion of ziti — so much that she had leftovers to share with our daughter the next day!
Our waitress was super friendly and attentive, the diner was clean, and it was very easy to get to. A big plus: my wife is recovering from foot surgery and is in a surgical boot — the restaurant’s handicap ramp made access totally stress-free.
To top it off, right before we left, the owner Ari came by to personally check in and introduce himself. That kind of service is rare these days — especially at such reasonable prices.
We’ll definitely be back. I meant to take photos, but honestly, everything looked (and tasted) so good, I forgot. That should tell...
Read moreThey did a great job remodeling the inside. I loved the play area for the children while we waited. The quantity of food was generous but I would say they missed the quality mark. The bacon was very unique I would say quite salty. The sourdough toast was very good. The scrambled eggs with cheddar cheese were not great they put square cheese on top rather using a shredded cheese and the eggs seemed like they didn’t have milk in it. The coffee was great with lots of flavor options. The staff were absolutely splendid and I appreciated the owner checking in and asking about the food. The waitress did notice that I didn’t eat much of my food and asked if there was something wrong so I appreciated the observation but did not feel like going into detail. When the owner approached I did tell him my feelings on one of the items and he offered to switch it out for something else. He was friendly and tried to make genuine connections. I’m sure this place will do well in Seekonk. This place was quite busy and food came out fairly quick and they seemed to have a large wait when we left so it’s definitely becoming quite popular. I’m happy to see a family business doing...
Read moreSo. My wife and I , took a trip to Rhode Island. We are staying in Seekonk.Ma. Down the road we found The Hamilton Diner. A mall place ,compared to the massive diners in Jersey. Even with a line out the door , we still got seated in 20 mins or so. I've always said...if a diner can't do breakfast or make a good burger ,close your doors. I had a bacon cheeseburger and have to say , it's one of the best burgers I've had in a long time. The wife just had some mozzarella sticks. They were larger than most and the sauce was very tasty. We decided to come back the next morning for breakfast ( writing this as I eat). Had eggs with bacon and home fries. The wife had Blueberry pancakes. Talk about fresh. Pancakes were not overly sweet. Blueberries are super fresh. The bacon is perfection. Home fries are so tasty, made with red potatoes. Marble rye toast. Eggs cooked perfect. If you are in the area , please make it your choice to stop here. The owners who we met both days here. Walk around and stop at every table to ask about your experience. A old school country diner that I will say...is BETTER THAN MOST DINERS IN...
