I went to Seekonk Tailors for the first time in October. I had bought a dress for a friend’s wedding that needed to be tailored. It had a ton of detail, especially scallop detail at the bottom that I didn’t want to loose. The seamstress took the middle of the dress apart so that the bottom detail would not be affected. They had an extreme attention to detail and were very timely. They had the dress ready for me to do a status check prior to the committed pickup date. They also went conservative with their approach and we had to take more up. Even with their conservative approach we had plenty of time to do a second wave of alterations. My dress fit beautifully, with the scallop detail at the bottom being full intact, and they finished with plenty of time prior to the event. SO GRATEFUL for this place! We found out last minute that the school uniforms were on backorder. I found a couple of 2nd hand ones in the school closet, but they were too big. I brought them on the Sunday before Labor Day hoping for a miracle because I needed them by Tuesday morning! I definitely thought they would turn me away...but they were so kind and helpful! We brought my daughter’s prom dress to be altered here. She had to have this dress and we had to buy a bigger size because the store was sold out of her size. The dress had to be taken in. The zipper needed to be moved and the dress needed to be hemmed. The price to do all this work was very reasonable. When she tried on her dress today, it fit her like a glove.
