Shangri-La Motel — Hotel in Seekonk

Stayed at this hotel for 5 nights, 2 full price on the weekend. Never asked for ANYTHING the entire stay except for another bar of soap and extra bath towel. Was quiet, respectful. Etc.. at the end of my stay I even took the extra liberty to help them out and clean my entire room...exposed of any trash, cleaned all the surfaces counter etc..left just the room to "flip"fpr them.. they kept the 50$ security deposit and when I called to inquire as to why I nvr got it back, they said it was because "I burned there room to the ground".. of which I never burned anything, like I said I even helped them clean the entire room up b4 I left. Called them over and over again to ask about my deposit and as to why I didn't receive it bak, I was was rudely hung up on about 5x. Ask for an owner or manager, h8ng up on. Then finally after the 15nth call spoke with a man whom told me there was 1 slight burn mark in a bed sheet I had left and that they would nvr rent to me again.. NEWSFLASH!! YOU RENT SMOKING ROOMS!!! even if something of that did occur, which it dis not, YOU RENT ROOMS TO SMOKERS! Horrible and improfessional etiquette/behavior.. that's what your $500+ gets you witha bunch of dot head run mfers. They only know 1 thing,to take take take. I will NEVER recommend this hotel to anyone. Worst motel around, worst experience... There are plenty of competitors in your area.. also just got off the phone with the BBB. will be sending in a complaint to them...

First of all the owners were non helpful, discontent, and at times when they did speak rude and angry. The room was small but appeared to be clean. The only channel on the television that actually had a clear picture and sound was a porn channel (which we were not interested). The bed was so uncomfortable that my husband had to sleep on the floor for two nights and I never slept on the sheets or comforter and thank goodness I brought my own pillow as well. We sat chairs on the sidewalk in front of room to sit in because the room was a bit clostaphobic and discovered that the establishment adhered to an ill repute clientele. They rented rooms out by the hour. Not sure if they changed the sheets or had a very great fast system because the owners would go in afterward, take in sheets and towels and return in less than 3 minutes for the next ronda'vou. To each his own but I witnessed couples entering these rooms with a young female child and another that left their dog in a vehicle for over two hours. Granted I was not there much during the day but when I was there I wittnessed at least the exchange of 4 rooms 2-3 times each in a matter of a few hours. Needless to say this is probably not a family or child friendly establishment, uncomfortable, small, and a bit on the tacky side as far as ethics and morals...

I was surprised to see so many poor reviews, I'm not sure if the place has changed ownership, but I've been staying here for 3 weeks straight while my house is being remodeled (long story) The owner gave me an amazing weekly rate that cost less than a single night in a Providence hotel. First day I got here, the owners had just got through painting every room in the motel and installing new carpets. The second day I was here, the owner called my room to let me know that they were going to have to enter the room the next day when housekeeping came to install a new box spring and mattress because they were upgrading every bed in the motel! I don't know what all the fuss about the WIFI is, I'm writing this review from my room and just scored 28megs per second on speedtest.net, which is lightning fast. I have been able to stream Netflix and HBOGO for the last 3 weeks without a single issue. The owners have greeted me with a smile every time I have seen them, very nice people! ||||I know this review doesnt match the others, but as of June 2016, this is by FAR the best value for your money in the Providence area. They are a new TV and a coffee maker away from getting 5 stars from me...
