UPDATE:
3rd review: I literally went to Richmond CA and DD some Vietnamese food.
IT FAILED IN COMPARISON TO NIKKOS. yall keep doing what ur doing!!
2nd review: I dont have to drive to san antonio or austin for banh mi. Fat, plump, flavorful beautiful banh mi. I had banh mi here that ive never had before!!! Thank you Nikkos. Patron for life.
1st review: Wrong bread. No Daikon. I THINK no Maggi. They Do Have pate which is a step above ev other banh mi shop in guadalupe county. W pate the sammiches were 8.50 each, the cold cut one could have used more meat. I appreciate that they are here but if yall served authentic banh mis I'd buy one every day. For now ima still go to san antonio :/
EDIT: thanks Ms. Kathy for your response. They were tasty, just not the top 10 for me. But also best in guadalupe county, since that 1 pho house in san marcos closed a couple of yrs ago. Pate was bland, the mayo seemed homemade but was scant, and you know the bread makes the Sammy! I did ask for my Sammy to be made all the way w pate, but still no Maggi. Also...it all seemed kinda bland. No lemongrass on the pork etc. While the bread wasn't French it was delicious, just flat and a bit sweet.for the price I think the portion size was too small.
Banh mi 102 in SA has bigger and cheaper sammiches w way more filling. I think your sammies are great for the demographic that is in Seguin, but anyone who wants the real deal would be slightly...
Read moreFinally made our way down to Nikko’s Teahouse. It was SSOOOOO GOOD!!! We got there shortly after they opened, around 12:30. Ordered the iced caramel coffee w boba, iced caramel milk tea with boba, grilled pork bahn mi, and bubble waffle with caramel, strawberries and whipped cream. Everything was amazing!! The owners were so sweet, and let us sample the green tea waffle, which I am 100% getting next time. We also want to try the Ube waffle. The drinks were delish, and the bahn mi was 10/10. The bread was so fresh. We also got drinks on the way out which were the watermelon lemonade with strawberry poppers, and the brown sugar milk tea with boba (these were on their specialty menu, but I can’t remember the actual drink names). I can’t wait to go back to try the bulgogi bahn mi. I literally could live off of that sandwich. Everything is made in house, and you can tell. If you’ve been on the fence, definitely give it a try! My only regret was not getting pics 🥴 so happy to have them in seguin!!! Oh and they also have a...
Read moreIt's was pretty clean inside, it has tables to sit and eat inside. I loved the grilled pork Banh mi, the meat tasted very good. I wish there was a tiny bit more meat in it but it still tasted very good. Taro smoothies were good. I also tried their Horchata vietnamese coffee drink which was an interesting taste. I need to return again and try out their other sandwiches! Though I know I will end up ordering the grilled pork again because it was delicious. I also can't wait to see the other items...
