Savanh of Laos — Restaurant in Seminole

This was our first time here, and the food was delicious! Great customer service, nice decor inside. Loved how they had fresh lettuce and herbs with each of our entrees.

Ordered the appetizer sampler with beef jerky, sausage and steamed fish. Both the jerky and sausage were okay. I didn't care for the steamed fish, not much flavor in it. The accompanying sauce was really good and made the fish better.

We had the Papaya salad medium spicy and the dressing was flavorful and well balanced. This is the only restaurant in town that has such authentic dressing. The crispy rice was new for me, never had it anywhere before, so I didn't know what to expect. This is my new favorite dish! It was fun to eat, as each piece of rice was crispy and had a hint of sweetness. Served with fresh lettuce, herbs. The laarb with beef and tripe was excellent. I've had Thai versions before and this was a bit different. Loved the deeper flavor in this version and it's a bit drier (no sauce/dressing like other restaurants). I prefer this deeper more intense flavor better than other restaurants' more limey flavor. This was also served with lettuce, herbs, cucumbers, chili.

Overall, I am so glad to live nearby this fantastic and authentic restaurant. Can't race about this...

Finally had a chance to try this restaurant. They were pretty busy at the time we came in. We had a party of 5. Nice and small, only about 8 tables. The two women who ran the house were AMAZING. Very sweet and caring. They only had a booth left so we took it. Feeling a little cramped but we weren’t complaining. We all ordered and they brought out some appetizers. After we ate the appetizers they suggested we move to the bigger table that was now empty. They even said they wanted us to eat comfortably. How very thoughtful. The food came out in a reasonable time given the fact that they were slammed. Everything tasted amazing and authentic. I will definitely come back when I get the chance. The owner and staff were super friendly and accommodating. The ONLY reason I couldn’t give a 5 star is the horrible horrible parking. There’s about 6 spots of which were all taken. And if you miss the turn you end up in a boat parking lot. I had to do a U turn to go back. I ended up having to park next door at the car wash. Smh how annoying but other than that, this restaurant is worth the trip. If you’re looking for authentic Lao food...

I have had lots of great Thai and other Asian foods while living in Chicago and Seattle and this place it TOP TIER!

I was so impressed with the complex & sweet flavors in what I ordered, so very delicious!

Fried Rice w/ Pork - fantastic flavor, smooth, tasty and moist. Their was a party in my mouth and it was awesome! The meat was very delicious and so tender.

Pepper Chicken Entree - this has such a delicious flavor in the sauce. I loved this dish. I let the sauce absorb into the jasmine rice and it was delicious. The vegetables were so fresh and tasty. The red and green sweet pepper cuts were delicious and so tasty. If you like the flavor of peppers this is the dish for you!

Yellow Curry w/ chicken - this had such an amazing peanut sauce flavor and the potatoes and sweet potatoes just melted in the mouth. This was fantastic curry and any fan of yellow curry will love this.

I am definitely coming back to try other dishes, this is the best place we have...
