Dairy Queen is always good, this visit was not a top notch experience as the cashier couldn't find my item on the register and had to get a manager for assistance (which is fine and exactly what they should have done for a situation they were unclear about) but the cashier after the manager walked away, told me that I had to select either swirl or chocolate for my ice cream selection when I wanted vanilla as those were my only options. I personally watched the manager make several cones and blizzards using vanilla ice cream, so I wasn't buying that! My wife interrupted and stated that we do not want anything but vanilla so the cashier still rung up a swirl and then had to walk over to tell the manager that in actuality it was a vanilla order? The manager had made the items me and my family ordered and put them on the pickup counter...they sat there for quite some time before my wife went to the pickup counter and brought them to our table herself. In defense, it was a very busy time and there were many patrons in line waiting. But the quality of the ice cream was still DQ worthy!
I edited my review from a 4☆ to a 2 ☆ because being a DQ aficionado I enjoy their ice cream very much so returned the next day to order same item as above and lazy/lying cashier stated they didn't carry the item I wanted and my wife interjected to say that indeed they do carry it because we just purchased it yesterday. The cashier proceeded to tell me he has never heard of a DQ quart of ice cream. So I told my wife let's just leave...as we walked away, a manager walked up and saw us walking away and I over heard her ask the cashier what was the problem. He stated, we were looking for a quart of DQ vanilla ice cream and we don't carry that, the manager replied to him "yes we do!" He then told the manager that he was looking for it on the screen and my family just walked away, obviously trying to save face in front of his manager! I don't like bad service but truly...
Read moreFirst of all we are locals we come to this location quite a bit but I got to say the night shift is bad!!! Been there twice in a week at night and we were not happy . First night we ordered some burgers , no mustard for me since I break out and my boyfriend no onions on his burger , we drove down the road and mine had mustard and his onions they also forgot his fries but the lady that was taking our order was so rude like she hated the world , didn't think much of it everyone has a bad day . Went back last night ordered the $7 deal x 2 my boyfriend repeated a few things just to make sure we don't get it messed up again and the lady said ... that's what I said ...so damn rude , we continued to the window and there she was again super rude!! She handed us our ice cream which we said no its supposed to be 2 hot fudge Sundays she snagged it back and complained about it to her co worker ,we got out food and she forgot her drinks so we back up got our drinks and here goes her attitude again, let me tell you , you shouldn't treat Customers with an attitude, if you don't like your job find another !we don't have to spend our money there we can go elsewhere but we drive all the way from the other side of town to get food but not to get an attitude, I don't know if she's a manager or just an employee, tall , shorter blonde hair up in ponytail, glasses but next time we see her there I won't buy no more rather go somewhere else very...
Read moreI almost never leave reviews, Came to the mountains for a trip with my three daughters and decided to stop and get some ice cream for the kids. Ordered 4 hot fudge sundaes and pretzel sticks. Super easy order right?
Got the hot fudge sundaes and one of them had almost no chocolate on them. I asked the curly dark haired lady very nicely if she could just squirt a little extra fudge on top. No big deal I thought. Pretty much anyone would do that giving the amount of chocolate that was visible in the clear cup.
The lady grumbled and walked away and an older lady opens the window who seemed to be a manager and tells me it’s going to be an extra charge. I kinda just was like “really, ok don’t worry about it”.
She closed the window and I waited on my pretzel sticks. Shortly after they come back and ask “Can we help you with anything else” in somewhat of a rude tone.
Turns out the forgot to ring up the pretzel sticks.
Manager grumbled “ just grab em on” , gave us the pretzel sticks and closed the window.
Thanks for the free pretzel sticks but geez…if life is that bad maybe you should figure another...
