Buffet China — Restaurant in Seymour

We arrived at around 8:15-8:20pm on a Saturday evening... went up to get our 1st plate of food...half the food wasn't even available... was already taken down... we didnt notice all the writting on a paper on the door on our way in... which says "Take out only after 8:30pm" ....No mention was made as we were being seated, that it would be take out only in the next 10min... they brought us to a table and charged us buffet prices... A few families arrived after us around 8:45 and almost 9pm and were seated for buffet as well, not take out only for them either... They should NOT allowed people to come in for a buffet of it is truly Take Out Only hour... But anyway, before 9pm they were taking more food away from the only other bar left... like sweet and sour sauce, soups, etc. My husband asked for some so they went back to the kitchen and they brought him a bowl out... my husband mentioned that there was alot of food missing when we arrived and they didn't say why just offered a discount... of which wasn't even 10%... looked like she maybe just didn't charge taxes... only took a few dollars off. Alot of the food was older too and not good and hot. The drinks had a funny sharp flavor as well. And I found hair attached to my crab racoon. Didn't feel like the restraunt is real taken care of. If they wanted full price then they should give full service until closing at 9:30pm... otherwise they need to lower their price. We have a 3 and 5yr olds, plus us to adults and it was $58... their discount put it at $54. Seems alot for only one bar of food. The pink sign says that Monday-Saturday dinner price is charged from 3:30-8:30... so that price should not be charged after that time. We should've gotten a good look around before even eating there. Buffet China in North Vernon is a solid spot when you’re craving Chinese food. The buffet has a nice variety — everything from the classics like General Tso’s chicken and lo mein to some good fried rice and crab rangoons. The food was fresh and hot when I went, and you can tell they keep things rotated pretty well.

The staff was friendly and quick to clear plates, which I always appreciate at a buffet. The place itself is clean and comfortable, nothing fancy but definitely inviting.

I have gone to numerous buffets in the country and this place is still one of the best buffets around. The people are friendly and the food is good. I always enjoy takeout.

However, it has gotten more expensive over the past 7 years or so. I understand that current economic circumstances will affect things so I won't be too harsh, but I think you guys could stand to lower your prices a bit.

The Mongolion grill is gone which is a bit of a bummer.

I notice that although your entré options are excellent, it is mostly chicken with maybe only one beef entré. My personal suggestion is to have one different entré on the bar each day.
