China Garden — Restaurant in Seymour

This place is ok, nothing really great really . The Chinese guy who is at the counter taking orders all the time , seems to be the owner , I’m not quite sure . He is the rudest person I have ever met . You talk to him and Durant even knowledge you around . He throws your change back like you were a dog . He puts the food on the side and he doesn’t even hand it to you like a normal decent person will. He lies a lot about the timing fue your food to get ready and you have to wait longer than usual . And I’m talking about all of this way before the covid-19 situation . I have given him the benefit if the doubt so many times , but he has been rude and thinking he is better than you . He Durant realize that we the customers are the one who feed him and his family . He should learn to be more humble and respectful towards people . You ask him for something and he acts like he ya better than you . I have had more than a few bad experiences with his attitude . Wake up sir. Your in America , don’t you ever forget that . Update 11/30/20: we decided to give them another try today after we had to cancel an order a couple months ago because we hadn't received our delivery in over 2 hours. So today we call and ask to place an order for delivery and all the man said was "sorry no driver" before hanging up on us. My husband was absolutely willing to pick it up had we been given the chance. We certainly weren't going to call back and give them our money though. We're officially done since they've had 4 strikes at this point.

The food is typically good but the delivery times are not. We ordered and were told 15 minutes for delivery and received the food almost an hour and a half later. Not surprisingly, it was cold. They offered no discount or apology. They only offered to remake it. On another occasion my husband went to pick up an order and gave them the name and phone number and was told there was no order. I would of liked to of left this a great review considering the food is excellent taste... but my friend previously order from here and there was a cockroach in her food and idk if it is the manager or what but the guy taking orders is the rudest man I've met in my life... he has hung up on me, pushed me telling me to get out because he left the door unlocked during closed hours figured they was open seeing he was cleaning and door was unlocked... even my family told me they've had problems with him... I love Chinese food but I try to avoid this place now at all cost... there is a chinese buffet around the corner I recommend going too they're great people and absolutely excellent food never had a problem...
