So I want to start by saying that I'm not trying to be mean, I just want to offer criticism to help encourage the restaurant to improve. I'm typing this review not only from my thoughts, but on behalf of my family. I actually don't live here, I live in Vegas, but am visiting my parents who live here. I have previously run kitchens as a chef and know the stress of working in a restaurant. My dad has been so excited to try this place, so we picked up food to take home. My mom and I got the roasted chicken, my dad got the teriyaki chicken, and my brother and daughter got the chicken tenders. We picked the food up and headed straight to their house. No waiting or any stops in between. My dad said the teriyaki chicken was good, but not his favorite. I don't think he was the biggest fan of the flavor of the teriyaki sauce, but that's not anything against the restaurant. My brother said the tenders were pretty good, but not completely warm. He had to warm his food up for just a few seconds to get it warmer. Now, the roasted chicken... This was our biggest issue. I ordered the 3 piece, my mom ordered the 2 piece... BOTH of our orders of chicken were COLD. I'm not talking lukewarm where you still feel some heat. I mean cold to the touch.... We had to heat ours up. That's scary. How long was the chicken sitting out for before we got it? We heated our chicken up, and my mom was extremely disappointed already, but to add insult to injury, her chicken was very dry. Mine was definitely not dry, I was just worried about whether it was cooked all the way through or not. My mom and I got two sides each: I got coleslaw and mashed potatoes and my mom got coleslaw and broccoli. The coleslaw was very good, the mashed potatoes were great and made from real potatoes, but my mom's broccoli had bad spots on it so she didn't feel comfortable eating all of it. My dad got rice and coleslaw and liked it. My brother and daughter had fries and liked those. Though the sides are great, that's not what we went for. So overall, we are very...
Read moreSo this to me is probably one of the most slept on places available to eat in Seymour. I myself skipped it for a while because I never really noticed much foot traffic and the outer building is really kind of under advertised. But I had some free time and I decided to go in and try it. I was honestly expecting Indian food from the outside of the building and was much of my surprise when I went in and I didn't really find any. What I did find however was an excellent selection of as the outside advertises chicken dishes. Fried chicken rotisserie chicken grilled chicken and so on. So I was very surprised to look at the menu and to see Hispanic dishes not Indian ones. Infant side not really familiar with things I took quite a bit of time to look at the menu and I went with a chicken torta. Now I'm going to tell you that if you're expecting a chicken sandwich this is not it I am not familiar with what a torta is but I was expecting a basic chicken sandwich cuz that's kind of what the picture shows. However you can see the attached pictures for what arrived at my table and this thing was huge. And it was amazing it tasted so good I was a little outfit by the price initially because it's just the sandwich but once it arrived I understood 10 of 10 recommend this place absolutely deserves more foot traffic. Update went back tried the chicken tacos also amazing. I don't normally like corn tortillas but I ate these. Today 6 19 25 I'm trying the empanada and tenders. Empanadas are amazing the tenders I would rank average and I had the six piece chicken wing normal I was actually expecting rotisserie or like oven roasted and it's fried chicken wings so to close out this ultra-long review give this place a try...
Read more5 visits. 1st was...underwhelming when they first opened, portions and price good, flavors were, off. 2nd Mediocre. 3rd got the bourbon chicken, it was decent, but not my preference on bourbon chicken. More spicy and bitter than sweet. 4th got tacos. We have a lot of competition for tacos here, this wasn't it. Definitely smaller portion on these and the flavor was just off. 5th was the one that has hit the final nail in the coffin for me. 3pc fried chicken, mash, Mac and cheese and "biscuit." Chicken was extremely over done. You could it had been out for awhile and they just popped it back down in the oil to freshen it up. Mashed potatoes have no creamy or butter flavor. Nuked to oblivion. Mac and cheese was definitely from a frozen bag. The biscuits were frozen rolls thawed and cooked. The sides, I can forgive somewhat, but the chicken......
