Well most times I have absolutely no complaints about this place.. do not order anything to do with shrimp or seafood... I ordered the shrimp and vegetables and all I get is a big bucket of vegetables with a total of 4 shrimps in there!! definitely a waste of money.. it should say vegetables and shrimp since there's always more vegetables than shrimp.. at least make the ratio better.. if you order chicken then it's packed with chicken and some veggies.. not filled with veggies and a sprinkle of shrimp. Update: they've gotten entirely too expensive for the quality. Orange chicken was chewy dry and soggy. Lo mein is dry & tough. Sadly that's the final nail in the coffin.

This evening I ordered the Combo-18 Kung Pao Chicken. This entree a childhood favorite of mine. The service was exceptional as the man taking my order was able to recognize an allergy of mine and substitute the egg roll for cheese cream wontons and he also gave me vegetable fried rice. Ordered also a thing of soup suggested by him the egg flower soup and it was to die for. I'd like to thank you and your family for your wonderful service this evening and I will definitely be back down to Shakopee from Minneapolis to come visit!

This place is astoundingly awful especially considering the high price you pay for the food. I tried it twice and had the same experience both times. The chicken is either over cooked or freezer burnt as it is dry, hard, and flavorless despite being drowned in sauce. The breading is soggy and mushy. I tried ordering chow mein this time and was given a pint full of gravy (tastes like thanksgiving gravy that’s been watered down) and a cheap packet of dried noodles. Easily the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had.

Honestly after reading all the good reviews I thought it was going to be at least decent. It was not. I ordered General Tao chicken, my waiter told me it was his favorite, best thing they have there he said. The other two people I was with had orange chicken and sweet and sour chicken.

All the chicken tasted like burnt grease and it was so chewy and dry and it was terrible.

The sauce on all the chicken was tasteless and the small amount of flavor it had was terrible. It had an old or spoiled flavor to it.

I think the grease they are using to fry the chicken is 30 years old just like the restaurant. Honestly. I can taste 1994 in the grease. It was awful.

Even the rice tasted burnt and spoiled too though so I’m not sure where that flavor is coming from but it’s awful.

I will NEVER eat here again. Leann Chin is a million times better and it’s just ok. But at least it doesn’t taste Like spoiled grease that’s been around since before The movie Grease first hit...

It's a below average Chinese restaurant. If you have an urge to eat Chinese food then I would say it would barely appease it but I wouldn't come here on a regular basis.

I ordered the House Special Fried Rice, Orange Chicken (Very, very, spicy), and Mongolian Beef(Very, very, spicy). The fried rice was lacking of flavor and well wasn't very special. The Orange Chicken had NO flavor besides a hint of sweetness and wasn't even spicy. The Mongolian Beef had the same issues of lacking of flavor and not even close to being spicy.

Guys and gals, if you want better Chinese food just go to Mandarin Kitchen or something.

TLDR; was not worth the $50.

EDIT: After about a year or two, they've gotten much better. They deserve...

I've done takeout with 3 qts of hot and sour soup, every other week, since the beginning of covid. Great soup, until today--bland, $33 of flavorless soup. While there to pick up, I decided to stay for lunch...ordered sesame shrimp, which I frequently order. Shrimp was quite over-cooked and tough, as a result. I ate 3 bites and told the server the problem. The former owner told me she had sold the restaurant... the food tasted like the regular cooks left when it was sold. I won't go back. The hassle of rejecting a bad meal was disappointing. The former owner told me I should not order shrimp next time! No appreciation for the hundreds of $$ I've spent there in 3.5 years!...
