Don Ramon's isn't just a Mexican restaurant; it's a culinary haven that consistently delivers an exceptional dining experience. From the moment you're seated, the magic begins with their complimentary chips and salsa – the chips are perfectly crisp, and the salsa boasts a vibrant, fresh flavor that's utterly addictive. It sets the stage for the feast to come.
Their queso is a creamy dream, rich and perfectly seasoned, making it an absolute must-order. As for their main dishes, whether you're craving classic tacos, generously stuffed burritos, or perfectly grilled quesadillas, Don Ramon's excels at every turn. Each dish is crafted with fresh ingredients and an authentic touch that truly makes it stand out. But if I had to pick one dish that truly shines, it's the Lindo Special. This dish is a masterpiece of flavors and textures, a true testament to the kitchen's expertise. It's consistently my go-to and never disappoints.
What truly elevates Don Ramon's above the rest, making it hands down the best Mexican restaurant in town and the surrounding areas, is their commitment to the entire experience. Their drinks are top-notch; the margaritas are perfectly balanced and refreshing, and their mojitos hit the spot every single time, providing the ideal complement to the incredible food.
Beyond the delicious fare, the service is truly remarkable. The staff is incredibly fast, attentive, and genuinely makes you feel like a priority. They anticipate your needs and ensure you have everything required for a comfortable and enjoyable meal. This level of dedication to customer satisfaction speaks volumes and makes every visit a pleasure.
In short, Don Ramon's offers an unbeatable combination of delectable food, fantastic drinks, and unparalleled service. It's a place where every bite is a delight and every visit feels special. I cannot recommend it...
Read moreI usually love going to Don Ramón. It’s a place I’m used to visiting and I’ve never had any issues before. I’m not someone who typically complains, but I feel this is something worth bringing to your attention—not because of the food, which was great as always, but because of an interaction I had with one of the servers.
When I went to pay for my meal, a young waiter brought me two receipts and told me that my card had declined the first payment, so he had to split the bill into the original amount and an additional $8. I found it strange because my credit card never showed any declined transactions. Instead, it showed two successful charges—one for the full amount of the meal and another for $8.
At first, I ignored it, thinking maybe it was just a delay in how the charges were reflected. However, once I got home and reviewed everything more carefully, I realized that, aside from the tip I had already left as I always do, the waiter had also charged me an extra $8 as an additional tip without my authorization. In other words, my card never declined—the $8 charge was just added by him.
This resulted in me unknowingly leaving two tips: one that I intended, and one that was taken without my consent. I feel this was very disrespectful. Again, I’m not someone who usually gives negative feedback, but I believe Don Ramón is a lovely and family-oriented place where situations like this shouldn’t happen.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I hope this can be...
Read moreUpdate: They moved into the new location, and I was honestly excited to see it. But not long after arriving, I was disappointed. Ants are everywhere, they were eating food someone else spilled on the floor. The salsa bar is gone, I loved the salsa bar, and the food was bland and uninspired. The rice is Mexican rice from a box, beans were from a can, and everything was lack luster. The service was spotty at best, it took 30 mns just to get drinks ordered, and another 15 to get them all. The servers were walking around aimlessly, seems like they didn't really know what to do. Food came out one person at a time, and they forgot my rice, beans, pico, and tortillas. We didn't get chips and salsa until just before our food started coming out. The worst part of it all, they weren't that busy. I used to go here every Thursday with a coworker because it was awesome. Maybe it's just growing pains, but honestly I miss the old Don Ramon's. The food looks good, but it don't hold a candle to the older stuff. And the bar is cool, but it was way too loud for 6 pm at a family style restaurant. All in all I really don't think I'll be back, and that really breaks my heart because it was so good. But all things, good or bad always come to an end.
Absolutely incredible food. Highly recommended. The salsa bar is awesome, the tacos are great, and the...
