I ate a very pleasant meal on 12-22-2023 at the Dewey's Pizza at 640 High St. in Worthington.
I had previously eaten -- twice -- at the Dewey's Pizza that is near Grandview Heights but I had been in Worthington that day so I had decided to eat there instead.
I had arrived near the end of the traditional "lunch hour" so the dining room had been quite crowded when I had arrived but had been mostly empty when I had left.
My food choice had been a "Meatball" pizza [red sauce, fresh basil, fresh mozzarella, Italian meatballs, oregano, and shaved parmesan].
My server explained that my pizza would have "no cheese" except for parmesan cheese sprinkled on top; I declined any "extra cheese."
The meatballs on my pizza had been cut into slices which had made that pizza far easier to eat than I would have expected.
My one challenge while eating my pizza had been separating my first piece from the rest of the pizza -- without burning myself -- and then moving that piece safely to a small plate.
I pulled on my first piece quickly -- but not quickly enough -- so the entire pizza slipped off of the raised pizza stand and fell to my table.
A staff member quickly arrived, offered a replacement pizza [which I declined], moved my pizza back to the raised pizza stand, and then cleaned my table.
If you are looking for some delicious pizza and some friendly and helpful staff members, I recommend the Dewey's Pizza in...
Read moreUsed to go to Dewey's all the time in Cincinnati, was exceptional there. Ordered a 17" Ryan's Inferno (Dewey's White Sauce, Buffalo Chicken, Gorgonzola, Red Onion, and Celery/Ranch after the bake), a 17" build your own Pepperoni, Caramelized Onion, and Goat Cheese, and a side Harvest Salad.
Overall the quality of the pizza is pretty good, but I have 3 main issues:
Quantity of toppings - I do not feel there are enough toppings for the price point, it's seemed like they were very light on the amount. Price - their specialties/3 topping build your own cost around $22 for a 17" which is a lot considering how few toppings there are. The specialty selection is lacking in my opinion. They only had 2 specialty pizzas out of 14 with pepperoni on them and 7 of 14 had their white sauce instead of red. May not sound like a big deal, but that's why I had to build my own for one of the pizzas.
Dewey's isn't what I remember from Cincinnati, but it's still pretty good. I rate the Pizza a 4.5, but since Google doesn't allow decimal reviews and due to the issues listed above, I rounded...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Dewey's Pizza with my quilting group, and I must say, it was a fantastic experience. We have a standing pizza date every month, and Dewey's has become our go-to spot. One of the things that sets Dewey's apart is their ability to accommodate dietary restrictions, such as my need for dairy-free cheese.
The menu at Dewey's offers a wide variety of options, from classic favorites to unique and creative combinations. The crust is always perfectly crisp, and the toppings are fresh and flavorful.
The staff at Dewey's are friendly and attentive, making sure that our dining experience is enjoyable from start to finish. They are knowledgeable about the menu and always willing to offer recommendations or answer any questions we may have.
Overall, Dewey's Pizza has become our favorite pizza spot because of their excellent pizza options, accommodating nature, and friendly staff. If you're looking for a place to satisfy your pizza cravings, while also catering to dietary needs, I highly recommend giving Dewey's Pizza a try. You won't be...
