editing for more information: after having a bad experience and leaving a 1 star review, Double Eagle staff reached out to me to resolve the issue. On 3/29/2025, Claudia emailed me saying she was mailing me a $25 giftcard asap in the hopes we'd try again. I never received it so on 4/19/24 and 4/30/25 I followed up and still have not heard back as of May 8th 2025. Below is the email I initially sent explaining our experience.
i recently left a 1 star review and was asked to email in about our experience. I live close by, so I was really excited to try this place. when our table of 3 got there, we weren't greeted and were unsure if we should grab an open table or wait to be seated. We grabbed an open table and a few minutes later, a frazzled server came over to grab our drinks. We put in drinks and an order of nachos. the nachos were honestly horrible. it reminded me of coming home from middle school and microwaving shredded cheese on tortilla chips. We ordered 3 chicken quesadillas from a 2nd server who immediately told us she was tired and had a hard time pulling up our tab on the handheld pos system. She was an older woman and she seemed intoxicated (not an exaggeration or a slight towards her. she honestly seemed like she had been drinking and her words were slurring by the time we left). Our food came out and they brought us 4 quesadillas instead of 3. We told her we only ordered 3 so she removed the 4th from the table. The quesadillas were bland, so we asked for a side of pico and we didn't receive it. we also asked for waters, which we didnt get until we were about to leave. When we got our check, we had been charged for 4 quesadillas and it took awhile for that to be resolved. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience and I don't think I'd come back. I do hope things improve, as a cool sports bar would be a good fit at that location.
also adding, there are 2 regular height tables, and the rest are hightops, so if you have younger kids, are handicapped, or in a wheelchair, seating is very limited. Between our experience dining here and being ghosted by customer service, I wont return and don't...
Read moreThey were shorthanded on Tuesday evening when we walked in. And there was a rowdy table that was giving one overworked server a hard time. But she was Grace under fire and kept her head up until more staff arrived. I did appreciate my Ruben having the corned beef, chopped as it’s less likely to pull out a whole slab of meat when you bite into it. I always love tater tots. and I would never dream of putting as much salt on them as they came. But deep down I kind of liked it! I don’t think I even used ketchup! The elote corn dip was a little bit sweet. And I really did like the bites with the fresh green onions on top the best which means I probably would prefer a little more savory than this sweet. But it was quite good. It is a limited menu. Which honestly if they are doing everything well is better than all long list of food that comes out mediocre or...
