KFC — Restaurant in Shawnee

Went through the drive thru at about 9:15-9:30pm. Granted I did have a large order with 7 people to get food for it was still about an hour before they closed but were low on the chicken types I wanted and weren't able to cook anymore. I know they could but they just didn't want to. Because of this I had to make substitutions and it was a headache. I had to repeat my order at least 7 times and have it read back to me just as much because items were still missing or done wrong. I was speaking clearly and slowly and still had the issues. It was frustratingly tiresome to say the least. The person that took the order and was at the window were the same person and was friendly and didn't get an attitude and was extremely apologetic to me.

Despite all that, I went around to the front and parked after getting my food because after all the ordering issues I had to be sure it was all there. It was not... Had to go inside and order the items that were missing. Which kind of negates going through the drive thru in the first place. Manager was polite and apologized a lot as well.

4 stars for the food being hot and tasting great, and the wait time in the drive thru being almost nothing. (Not including the ordering part)

Still the better of the 2 KFCs in Shawnee overall though. Especially for employee friendliness and food...

What can I say? I LOVE this KFC! Jerry is the Shift Manager and his easy smile, great cooking and awesome personality make this place SHINE! You can tell everyone here is enjoying working here and the food is delicious and the atmosphere is so nice. I love coming here! Trinity is so sweet and Rachel as well. I make this a regular stop and YOU SHOULD TOO!

Today, I had the privilege of meeting (at the Harrison Street location in Shawnee) ANDRE (wearing the bright yellow shirt with HUGE smile on his face), head of maintenance at KFC, as well as Sandy Brown, the assistant REGIONAL manager and her assistant LIZ. Liz has been with the company 27 plus years and Sandy Brown, even LONGER than that. Two ladies that are the salt of the Earth. Chad is the new General Manager at the Shawnee KFC location. He has been working for KFC since he was 16, he's now 30. Chad's dad with with KFC for 45 years.

The chicken here is FRESH and hot and ohhhhh so tasty! Hard to get enough. GIRL, I can live without STEAK but not my fried chicken. Hurry on over and grab yourself some. Tuesday is $10 for a 8 piece bucket...

Most times get great service the online ordering was easy and food was ready when I got there. This visit was not typical, as I usually go through the line to pick up but it was busy so I decided to go in. Was asked for my phone to prove I didn't just happen to walk off the street to tell them I had a pick up order for Christopher. So had to go back outside and get my phone to prove who I was. I mean come on you trying to tell me just on a guess someone is going to walk in and say they ordered online for Chris? I'm all for making sure someone doesn't take a order they didn't pay for but what are the odds some random said " Chris probably ordered online do I'm gonna walk in and get his food. Common sense approach here, and to get an attitude with me cause I asked the question of what are the odds. Then didn't even have my drinks ready and really take your time getting said drinks.
