Tapatio Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Shawnee

🤬Not so good this time 😡😭😭😭😭😭 NONONO food is still the greatest ,beer is suspect 🤔so 0stars and for that makes the food fall mindfully under investigation total synopsis follows....... Service was not good at all the older man there probably the oldest by appearance was not a happy presence at all He appeared to be annoyed and not happy He took our orders by asking what do you want! I don't think he really cared for women much there's no telling as he kind of ignored me He seemed to talk mostly toward my partner than me. He also seen more concerned about the people at the next table than ours because my drink seem to even be shorted of liquid as he had a few drinks in his hand/arms and mine was the one that had the shortest of liquid but that was mine Go figure anyways whatever.They usually bring chips and salsa so when we got our chips and salsa they were stale chewy and old as if they may have came from another table or was for previously consumed throw away yuck! He kept looking as if he probably knew that, anyways moving on uhh 😬. Our plates came and gave the wrong plate to each of us but anyways again and he also mixed up our drinks which was another omg whatever still liking this restaurant because of the food particularly. He also kept looking as if he was waiting for me to take a drink It tasted as my drink probably had spit in it🤨 gross 🤮 🤢 🤮 anyways that's terrible I just totally wasn't comfortable this time eating there It was a terrible experience mostly because of the service and the mixing of the plates and our drinks just was terrible My drink tasted slimy. Moving on to the atmosphere that has a lot to do with it a service but because it's summer there were plenty of flies in the place making it very hard to eat your food as you have to fan flies away not there fault just people coming in to the restaurant unaware of holding the door open to accompany their party to come in. This place is normally outstanding it has great Margaritas it has great Daiquiris and it's just overall a great atmosphere to normally be in except for tonight which is August 17th 2021 and it's a Tuesday we went in there this evening and we were watched walk through the door and then two people walked in after us and they were set first then we were sat all the way in the back waited probably about 7 minutes while people walked around and saw it but nobody asked us for our drink orders nobody got us any chips and salsa nothing then finally somebody comes and asks us for a drink order we give it to them another 5 minutes goes by we still don't have our drinks we still don't have chips at the table nothing more servers are walking around including the one that took our drink order looking at us and then a different server comes in walks over and asks us what would you like to drink that is when me and my husband proceeded to get up and walk out and it hurt my heart to do it because I love this place but we'll be thinking twice...

I used to love this restaurant, they have some of the best queso. (most of the Mexican restaurants in Shawnee have watered down queso). However I won’t be returning. They have the worst customer service! I called in an order and when I went to pick it up, there was a waiter at the register. He seemed busy so I waited for him to wait on me. I stood there for probably 5 minutes, not once did he try to acknowledge me (aside from glancing up at me). A few moments later another customer walked in and he helped her right away then proceeded to cash me out after she left. My food was sitting there ready the whole time! I wished I could say that this was my first bad encounter but it’s not. I was a frequent customer and could get past the other bad encounters but the waiter didn’t even apologize or say anything to me.
