Tropical Smoothie Cafe — Restaurant in Shawnee

For the most part, the food is delicious and staff are friendly! I go once, maybe twice a day at times so this morning when I went to get my smoothie I was disappointed that the staff was so abrupt at the drive through when I was ordering. I wasn’t finished ordering yet and she just cut me off , told me how much my smoothie would be and that was it! I realize it gets very busy and I have been there at some even busier times than this morning and I’ve never been abruptly cut off by staff and told they would see me at the window before finishing my order before. The smoothie was good but the customer service was definitely lacking! I’ve had Tropical Smoothie from OKC before, but it was always ordered and brought home by my girlfriend. The Shawnee location was the first one I’d actually been into. This was Friday August 8th around 12:15PM. The gentleman working was upbeat and kind. I only ordered a sandwich (turkey bacon ranch) and as I was waiting, he offered me not one but two smoothies. Wish I could leave a better review but we just spent at least 15 minutes going through the drive through. There were only two cars in front of us so I have no idea why it took so long to be able to order. Got my sandwich and it doesn’t have the bacon it’s supposed to have on it. It’s just toast with lukewarm cheese and avocado. My sons flatbread isn’t great either and the sweet potatoes are just soggy and sweaty.
