Five Below — Local services in Shawnee

If you have kids or teens, they will love this place. You can get a lot of cutesy room stuff, posters, toys, they even had some super mario (among others) tshirts in there. It's mostly all cheap stuff that, as an adult, I probably won't buy much of, but I can see kids and teens loving this. Lots of snacks and candy. It's great to see that Shawnee now has a Five Below! I've been there several times since they opened. The store is always clean and well stocked. Staff is friendly, and they have family-friendly bathrooms at the back of the store that are nice and clean. They are a totally self checkout system so if you don't like checking out your own items then there's that. During Christmas time when I had a lot of items that was kind of a pain but not hard. I was racially profiled. Out of 3 white people and I, while in check out I was singled out to a specific register. There the girl who was on shift checked out and bagged only my items and didn’t walk away till my sale was approved. She did not do that to the other 3 white people in the store. I then tried to call to speak to the manager about my concerns and no one answered the phone. Poor service and racist employees....
